Reiki for Horses [Kindle]
Do you want a deeper connection with horses?
I wrote this book in the early 2000s when was a horse healer & teacher for 15 years, travelling the country visiting horses, and teaching students how to do this as a profession.
I taught Healing Horses Practitioner courses at a rehabilitation stable for horses. Sadly this venue closed and I was unable to find such a suitable venue to continue.
This is the Kindle version. I may bring it into print at some point in the future but I have at least two other new books to complete first. It is here as a demonstration of my work as an author.

Why the F*ck Can’t I Lose Weight [Kindle & Paperback]
Why is it so darned hard to lose weight?
For me, the weight piled on from my late thirties when I lived with a feeder.
At first, I lost the weight but piled it back on during a stressful time. It became harder to shift once I went through menopause in my early fifties.
A few years ago, I woke up feeling fat and frumpy and asked myself, “Why the f*ck is it so hard to lose weight?”
It seemed no matter how much exercise I did and no matter how close my relationship was with lettuce leaves, the weight refused to move.
I developed the classic menopause belly. You know, the one where you look pregnant or like you drink a lot of beer.
That belly pouch caused me so much grief as it pouted at me in the mirror every day. I loathed it. I wanted it gone.

So, let me ask you –
- How many diets have you tried?
- How many times have you lost weight and then piled it back on?
- How many excuses have you used?
- How fed up are you of feeling overweight?
- Have you given up trying to lose weight yet?
- And are you ready to FINALLY get to the root cause of your weight loss difficulties?
- And do something about it that has nothing to do with food?
In late 2019, I studied applied neuroscience, and how to understand the brain.
Suddenly, many things started to fall into place. I realised I was sabotaging my weight loss with my emotional responses to what was going on in my life. My subconscious mind was tripping me up, keeping me stuck in unhelpful habits, and turning away politely when I stuffed my face full of cakes or biscuits.
Oh, subconscious mind, I see you now.
There began my quest to understand how my subconscious mind was controlling my habits.
I started the book in June 2019 and started losing weight without much effort.
I was just about cracking it when my fiancé died in a cycling accident in May 2020, and it all went *its up. I didn’t write for nine months.
As my life turned upside down, my weight increased.
Food was some comfort, and I didn’t try to stop it. At that point, my weight was the least of my worries. But, I learned how to be kind to myself.
Because of the trauma, I wrote another chapter on what to do when life kicks you in the wotsits.
Life has a habit of butting in when we least expect it, and I’m sure you’ll agree, that this is when you turn to food.
Reading this book not only helps you to lose weight. You also gain confidence, and increased self-belief, and self-awareness.
So many of us don’t feel good enough. But when you do feel good enough, somehow, you make better choices. You stop being at the mercy of other people’s behaviour, and you start taking care of yourself.
Share this journey with me. I know you’ll love it. This book was written for you, and you’ll see that as soon as you start reading.
