How I Use AI Tools For Blogging
Look, we’re only human, right? There are only so many hours in the day and only so much content we can pump out without getting burnout. Writing a blog post from scratch takes 2-4 hours, depending on the subject and content. Now, as I write for clients, they are my priority, but that leaves little time for me to focus on growing my blog. On average, I previously managed one blog post a week. That’s not enough for the growth I’m seeking. Primarily, my goal is to get enough traffic to get approved by Journey by Mediavine.
So, I’m starting a home décor blog and ran an experiment with ChatGPT yesterday. Firstly, Chatty gave me a massive list of potential ideas. Secondly, it created an impressive 30-day content calendar in the blink of an eye.
I took the first week with seven blog posts and asked ChatGPT to write them. Ten minutes later, I have seven blog posts averaging 1,000 words. I ran them through Grammarly, corrected poor grammar, and then ran a plagiarism check. On average, that was 5% per article.
Without banging on for this entire article, it took me an hour to edit and personalise seven articles. But for the home décor blog, the content isn’t explicitly focusing on SEO for Google. Instead, I have a Pinterest strategy in mind.
