Best Side Hustles for Introverts, Empaths & Creatives

April 27, 2025

Last Updated on June 14, 2025 by Jan Barley

Best side hustles for introverts often get overlooked in a world obsessed with loud launches and constant self-promotion. But not everyone wants to hustle in high heels or pitch on Zoom calls. Some of us prefer peace, creativity and a bit of quiet while earning money on the side.

You’re in the right place if you identify as an empath, deep thinker or creative soul. You don’t need to become someone you’re not to succeed. Plenty of side hustle ideas match your strengths and support your lifestyle without draining your energy.

In this guide, you’ll find introvert-friendly business ideas for working from home, thinking deeply, and making an income by aligning work with your core strengths.

Understanding Your Strengths as an Introvert

Introverts often get told to “put themselves out there” more, as if being quiet is something to fix. But introversion isn’t a weakness — it’s a different way of processing the world. It comes with strengths that are ideal for certain side hustles.

Deep focus, emotional awareness, creative thinking, and strong listening skills give introverts an edge. You probably prefer meaningful work over busy work and are more interested in impact than attention.

Empaths tend to pick up on the needs of others without being told. Thinkers enjoy solving problems, writing, or exploring complex topics. Creatives thrive when they have space to express ideas without being interrupted or micromanaged.

The best side hustles for introverts tap into those natural strengths. You don’t need a loud personality or a packed calendar. You need the right kind of opportunity that works with your energy, not against it.

Maximising an Introverted Personality for Business Success

best side hustles for introverts

Introverts often get a bad rap when it comes to business. There’s a misconception that entrepreneurial success requires constant networking, being “on” all the time, and thriving in extroverted environments. But the truth is introverts leverage unique strengths for business success.

Here’s how you can maximise your introverted personality to build a thriving, soul-aligned business:

Deep Focus for High-Quality Work

One of the greatest strengths of introverts is their ability to focus deeply on tasks. When you work alone, you can block out distractions and pour your energy into creating something truly valuable. That makes introverts excellent at producing high-quality content, refining products, or perfecting systems.

Why it works for business: Quality is often more important than quantity, and introverts excel at diving into the details and getting it right. It doesn’t matter whether you’re crafting a perfect blog post, designing a beautiful product, or building an exceptional customer experience. Your attention to detail can set your business apart.

Strategic Thinking and Planning

Introverts tend to be great strategists. You often prefer to think things through before jumping into action, allowing you to plan carefully and make well-informed decisions. You’re less likely to rush into risky ventures or make impulsive moves, which helps you build a more sustainable business in the long run.

Why it works for business: Introverts are natural problem solvers and big-picture thinkers. This ability to plan thoughtfully means you can navigate challenges with confidence and clarity, building a strong foundation for your business.

Listening Skills and Empathy

Introverts are often excellent listeners, making them incredibly empathetic and attuned to the needs of others. You will likely build deeper, more authentic relationships with clients, customers, or partners in business. You can identify problems, address concerns, and provide solutions that truly resonate.

Why it works for business: People appreciate being heard, and introverts’ ability to listen carefully can help create a loyal customer base. Whether you’re working with clients one-on-one or leading a team, empathy can help you forge meaningful, lasting connections.

Independent Work Style

Introverts often thrive when working alone. While collaboration has its place, introverts typically perform at their best when they have the space to work independently, think deeply, and create without constant interruption. This self-sufficiency is a tremendous asset when running your own business.

Why it works for business: As an entrepreneur, you will wear many hats — from marketing to product development to customer service. Your ability to stay focused and work independently will help you stay productive and keep your business moving forward without constantly needing others for validation or assistance.

Calm Under Pressure

Introverts tend to be more reserved in stressful situations, often maintaining a sense of calm and rationality when others may feel overwhelmed. That helps you think clearly and make strategic decisions when facing challenges.

Why it works for business: Entrepreneurship often involves navigating tough decisions and high-stakes moments. Your ability to stay composed under pressure will help you remain level-headed and solve problems effectively, even when things feel uncertain.

Creative and Thoughtful Problem Solvers

Introverts are naturally creative and reflective, taking the time to think deeply and develop innovative solutions. While you may not always be the first to speak up in a group setting, your mind always works to connect ideas, solve problems, and improve processes.

Why it works for business: Creativity and innovation are key drivers of business success. Your ability to think outside the box and find unique solutions will allow your business to stand out and solve problems in ways that others may not consider.

Authentic Brand Building

Introverts often excel at building businesses that reflect their authentic values. You aren’t driven by the need to impress others or “sell” yourself in a loud, flashy way. Instead, you focus on creating a brand that aligns with your true self, often leading to a more loyal and engaged audience.

Why it works for business: Authenticity is a powerful force in today’s marketplace. By staying true to your values and building a brand that reflects who you are, you create stronger connections with customers who resonate with your message.

By maximising these strengths, introverts can build businesses that are successful and aligned with their personality and values. Embrace your introverted nature and use it to your advantage — there’s a unique power in quietly creating, planning, and leading in your unique way.

How Introverts Protect Their Energy

protect an introverts energy

As an introvert, protecting your energy is crucial to maintaining mental and emotional well-being, especially in today’s fast-paced, always-on world. Unlike extroverts, who often gain energy from socialising and being around others, introverts recharge by spending time alone and engaging in activities that allow them to reflect and restore their energy.

In a world constantly demanding more from us, introverts have learned to set boundaries and prioritise self-care to prevent feeling overwhelmed. Here’s how introverts can protect their energy and manage overwhelm in a busy world:

Prioritising Alone Time to Recharge

One of the most critical ways introverts protect their energy is by making time to be alone. Whether reading a book, going for a walk, or simply enjoying some quiet time, introverts need these moments of solitude to recharge and feel grounded. Without this downtime, the constant barrage of interactions and tasks can quickly lead to burnout.

Why it works: Alone time allows introverts to process their thoughts, reflect, and regain the energy they need to engage with the world again. It’s not about avoiding people but about recharging to be your best self when interacting.

Setting Clear Boundaries

In a busy world, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by constant demands on your time and energy. Introverts are skilled at setting boundaries, whether saying no to social events, limiting work hours, or carving out space for self-care. By protecting their time and energy, introverts prevent overcommitting and keep their focus on what matters most.

Why it works: Boundaries create a sense of control over your environment and help manage stress. By recognising your limits and honouring them, you protect your mental health and stay focused on your personal and professional priorities.

Managing Overwhelm with Structured Time

Introverts thrive on structure and predictability, so scheduling downtime and sticking to a routine can help manage overwhelm. Planning rest periods, quiet activities, and personal space into your day ensures that there’s always time for recharging, even during busy periods.

Why it works: A clear structure reduces the mental load of making decisions on the fly, leaving more room for creativity and focus. Knowing when to rest and when to work keeps stress at bay.

Embracing Low-Stimulation Environments

Introverts often feel drained by loud, crowded, or high-stimulation environments. Choosing quieter spaces, working from home, or seeking out peaceful areas for meetings or brainstorming sessions can help reduce stress. Minimising external distractions allows introverts to focus and stay energised throughout the day.

Why it works: Low-stimulation environments foster better concentration and allow introverts to maintain mental clarity. By creating a calm space, introverts can stay more productive and less overwhelmed by external noise.

Practising Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing, or journaling can help introverts centre themselves and manage the overwhelm that often comes with a busy, fast-paced world. These practices offer a chance to disconnect from the chaos and re-establish a sense of inner calm.

Why it works: Mindfulness helps introverts stay present, reduce anxiety, and recharge mentally and emotionally. By incorporating these practices into their routine, introverts can combat burnout and regain energy more effectively.

Limiting Social Interaction When Needed

Introverts know their limits when it comes to socialising. While they may enjoy meaningful, one-on-one conversations or small gatherings, they’re careful not to overdo it with large groups or constant social interaction. When feeling drained, introverts prioritise their need for quiet time to prevent feeling overwhelmed.

Why it works: Recognising when social interactions are becoming too much helps introverts avoid burnout and manage their energy. It’s all about balancing social time with moments of peace to stay refreshed and engaged.

In a world that constantly demands more from us, introverts protect their energy by creating a balanced environment where they can recharge, set boundaries, and find peace. By prioritising alone time, creating structured routines, and embracing mindfulness, introverts can successfully navigate the demands of both their personal and professional lives without feeling overwhelmed.

How I Protect My Energy as an Introvert

As an introvert, I’ve had to learn how to protect my energy the hard way. In 2023, I experienced an exhausting burnout after working with a micromanaging CMO. The constant pressure, lack of understanding, and constant interruptions left me feeling drained, frustrated, and overwhelmed. It was a wake-up call for me.

I realised that I thrive when working in quiet, low-stimulation environments. I need space to think, reflect, and create, which I couldn’t get in a high-stress, overly controlled situation.

I have ADHD, and dealing with the distraction of constantly being ‘on’ made it even harder to focus. On top of that, I also experience misophonia, which means certain sounds — like the tapping of keys or loud chewing — can make it incredibly difficult for me to concentrate.

That experience helped me understand how crucial it is to work in environments that respect my need for peace, autonomy, and control over my time. I realised that not everyone understands how introverts work, especially those who thrive in busy, high-energy settings. Flexibility and quiet space are key to maintaining balance and avoiding burnout, and I will never put myself in that situation again – no matter how week paid!

Through this journey, I’ve learned to prioritise self-care, set clear boundaries, and create a work environment where I can be my most productive self. It’s about understanding my limits, being kind to myself, and taking the time I need to recharge. Now, I focus on building my business in ways that align with my natural tendencies — with plenty of quiet, creative space and time to reflect.

10 Side Hustles That Align With Introverts

side hustles for empaths

Finding the best side hustles for introverts starts with knowing what feels good to do. If you value quiet focus, emotional depth or creative freedom, these ideas offer a way to earn without draining your energy.

These introvert-friendly side hustles allow you to work independently, avoid small talk and do work that feels aligned with your personality.

#1: Freelance Writing

If you enjoy expressing yourself through words, freelance writing is one of the best side hustles for introverts. I can say that confidently, as I’ve been a successful freelance SEO writer since 2020. I love structuring work around my life and not the other way around.

You can write from home, choose topics you care about and avoid client calls using project platforms or email. Pick a niche you enjoy (I write for dog companies mostly), and you will find it easier to get regular work.

Best for: Thinkers and writers who love researching and sharing ideas
Getting started tip: Use tools like SEOWriting.ai to speed up your writing without losing your voice

#2: Digital Products on Etsy

Designing planners, journal pages or printable art lets you tap into your creative side and sell without showing your face. It’s one of the best side hustles for introverts that can build passive income over time.

Best for: Creatives who love designing beautiful, useful things
Bonus: Once listed, products sell while you relax, recharge or make more

#3: Faceless YouTube Channels

YouTube isn’t just for vloggers. Use voiceovers, stock footage or tools like Pictory and ElevenLabs to create inspiring content without being on camera. Think book summaries, calming videos or affirmations.

I have two faceless YouTube channels and am about to start a third. They’re brand new, so there’s not much traction yet. It takes time and consistent effort. It’s one of the best side hustles for introverts if you enjoy creating video content.

Best for: Introverts who enjoy storytelling but avoid the spotlight
Helpful tools: ElevenLabs for natural voiceovers, Pictory for editing without filming

#4: Affiliate Blogging

If you love writing and recommending useful tools, affiliate marketing through blogging is one of the best side hustles for introverts and a powerful way to earn. Focus on topics you enjoy and let SEO bring traffic to your website.

Best for: Writers and deep thinkers who enjoy building something long-term
Tool tip: Use Ubersuggest to find low-competition keywords that bring the right readers. Learn Pinterest marketing to drive traffic to your blog. Use SEOWriting AI to write SEO-optimised blog content and curate your content for a YouTube channel.

#5: Creating Meditations or Affirmation Audio

Empaths and spiritually-minded introverts often enjoy calming others. Recording meditations or affirmation tracks allows you to connect deeply — all from a quiet room at home.

It’s one of the best side hustles for introverts because these videos are easy to make.

One of my YouTube channels is Simply Manifesting, and I have created multiple meditation, subliminal and affirmation videos.

Best for: Empaths and creatives with a love of sound, healing and self-growth
Tools to try: ElevenLabs is fantastic for text-to-audio. I use CapCut for video editing (super easy to use), and royalty-free music platforms like Uppbeat are brilliant for royalty-free music.

#6: Pinterest Management

Pinterest is a search engine, not a social network, which makes it perfect for introverts. You can help creators or small business owners schedule pins and grow their visibility without ever hopping on a call.

Take a Pinterest course and offer to work for a local business to gain experience. Most Pinterest managers charge £500-1000+ monthly. Once you know how Pinterest Works, learn SEO and how to create beautiful pins that perform, it’s a dream job for an introvert.

Best for: Organised, visual introverts who enjoy quiet systems
Tip: Metricool is great for Pinterest scheduling and analytics

#7: Selling Notion Templates

If you love organising ideas and systems, creating and selling Notion templates could be your thing. It’s digital and creative and helps others stay on track. Notion baffles me. I just don’t get it. But, those people who understand Notion are making a good income.

Best for: Thinkers and planners who enjoy turning chaos into clarity
Selling tip: Use Gumroad or Etsy to list your templates without setting up a website

#8: Print-on-Demand Shops

Design simple shirts, mugs, and tote bags with meaningful quotes, artwork or spiritual themes. The platform handles printing, shipping and customer service, so it’s all hands-off after the design stage.

It’s one of the best side hustles for introverts who want to build a passive income. I started a Redubble store a few years ago and am still getting sales.

Best for: Creatives who want passive income without inventory
Style idea: Keep designs minimal and meaningful to stand out

#9: Email Newsletter with Affiliate Links

Try writing newsletters if you enjoy writing but prefer a more personal, low-pressure approach. Share thoughts, stories or useful finds once a week and earn through affiliate links.

Best for: Thoughtful introverts who enjoy slower, deeper communication
Platform tip: Try Systeme to start simple and grow at your pace

#10: Niche Research Assistant or Data Curator

Niche research is one of the best side hustles for introverts if you like researching or collecting data but don’t want to be the face of a business. Offer your services to bloggers, authors or YouTubers who need background info and ideas.

Best for: Quiet thinkers who enjoy working behind the scenes
Work style: No meetings, just tasks and timelines

Tips for Thriving as an Introverted Entrepreneur

Choosing the best side hustles for introverts is one thing —thriving while building them is another. You don’t need to force yourself into high-energy routines or try to become someone you’re not. Success looks different for introverts, and that’s a good thing.

Here’s how to make your side hustle work for your nature, not against it:

Protect Your Energy

Block out time for focused work, but don’t overcommit. Introvert-friendly business ideas often thrive in calm, consistent environments — not chaotic schedules. Honour your natural rhythm, especially if you need breaks to recharge.

Set Boundaries Around Visibility

You don’t have to show your face, speak on camera or be active on every platform. Pick one channel that suits your style. A blog, a Pinterest strategy, or a faceless YouTube channel can quietly do the work for you.

Automate Where Possible

Use tools like SEOWriting.ai, Pictory, and Metricool to streamline content creation and scheduling. Automating repetitive tasks lets you focus on your business’s creative, strategic tasks.

Choose Work That Feels Good

Not every opportunity is worth your time. The best side hustles for introverts often feel energising instead of exhausting. If something drains you, it’s probably not the right path.

Celebrate Quiet Wins

You don’t need viral success to feel proud. Building a peaceful, profitable side income that fits your life is a massive win — even if nobody claps for it on social media.

Tools That Make Business Easier for Introverts

The best side hustles for introverts often require tech magic to keep things flowing smoothly. Fortunately, there are plenty of free or low-cost tools that simplify tasks, boost productivity and minimise the need for constant interaction.

How it helps: Automates content scheduling and tracks your results in one place.

Ubersuggest – Find the Right Keywords Without the Fuss

When it comes to blogging or affiliate marketing, SEO is crucial. Ubersuggest helps you discover high-potential keywords with less effort. It’s the perfect tool to guide your content creation without spending hours researching.

How it helps: Maximise content without constantly creating new material.

These tools give you the power to work smarter, not harder. By automating tasks and streamlining your workflow, you can focus on the parts of your side hustle that truly energise you.

Jobs That Don’t Suit Introverts

While some career paths perfectly align with the strengths of introverts, others can feel like an uphill battle. For introverts, some jobs can drain energy, demand excessive social interaction, or require constant performance under pressure — all things that go against the grain of what makes introverts thrive.

Here’s a look at a few jobs that might not be the best fit for someone who values peace, focus, and personal space.

Sales Representative or Telemarketer

Sales often require constant pitching, frequent face-to-face meetings, and long hours spent talking to strangers. Introverts tend to shy away from these roles because of their high-energy, persuasive nature, which relies on constant social interaction.

Why it’s not a good fit: High pressure, constant extroverted activity, and little downtime can leave introverts feeling drained.

Event Planner

Event planning may sound glamorous, but it involves managing hectic schedules, handling multiple client demands, and being constantly “on” in social settings. It’s a role that requires networking, coordinating large groups, and solving problems on the spot — all in a fast-paced, often loud environment.

Why it’s not a good fit: Requires a lot of face-to-face interaction, multitasking, and high-stress problem-solving in real time.

Public Relations (PR) Specialist

PR roles often involve managing media relationships, attending events, and maintaining a public-facing role for clients. The constant socialising and expectation to network and speak in front of large groups make it a less-than-ideal fit for introverts.

Why it’s not a good fit: Heavy social interaction, constant networking, and the need to be in the spotlight can be exhausting for those who prefer quieter work.

Customer Service Representative

Although working remotely in customer service is possible, the job typically requires dealing with numerous people daily, answering questions, and resolving complaints. The high volume of conversations and demands on communication can leave introverts feeling mentally drained.

Why it’s not a good fit: You would be continually interacting with customers (and not all of them pleasant), especially when problem-solving, can be overwhelming for someone who thrives on minimal distractions.

High-Level Management Positions

While management roles can be rewarding, they often require leading teams, attending meetings, and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. The expectation of being “always available” for the team and constantly interacting with staff may not align with the introverted need for time alone to recharge.

Why it’s not a good fit: The need for constant interaction, quick decision-making, and high visibility can be overwhelming for introverts.

Performer or Actor

Being on stage or in front of a camera requires continuous attention, rehearsals, and interactions with large audiences. The need to constantly perform can leave introverts feeling exhausted and drained. If you’re more comfortable observing than performing, this role likely isn’t your vibe.

Why it’s not a good fit: Public speaking, constant interaction with others, and the pressure to perform can feel uncomfortable and overwhelming.

While these jobs might not be ideal for introverts, it doesn’t mean introverts can’t excel in their businesses.

Another misconception about introverts is that we are shy. Often, that is not the case. Introverts are typically reflective and self-aware and spend a lifetime working on personal development. Introversion is more about how you recharge your energy and less about how you show up in the world.

With the right side hustles that align with their personality, introverts can build successful, soul-aligned careers that provide the space, creativity, and peace they need to thrive.

Conclusion: Embrace Your Introverted Strengths for Entrepreneurial Success

Being an introvert doesn’t mean you’re at a disadvantage in business. Indeed, your unique qualities — like deep focus, strategic thinking, and empathy are powerful assets that can help you build a successful, sustainable side hustle.

By choosing the right business ideas, maximising your strengths, and leveraging the right tools, you can create a thriving business that fits your personality and lifestyle. Choosing the best side hustles for introverts can take you on an exciting and profitable journey without losing your authenticity, energy, or mind!

From crafting high-quality content to connecting authentically with clients, you have countless opportunities to succeed. As an introvert, you don’t need to be loud to stand out — your quiet power is more than enough to drive your entrepreneurial success.

Embrace your introverted nature, lean into your strengths, and start building a business that reflects who you truly are. Your success is waiting, and it’s all within your reach.

If you’ve been secretly hoping there’s a simple way to earn online (without selling your soul or dancing on TikTok), keep reading. These 10 ideas are low-effort, high-impact, and perfect for beginners who want to start small and dream big.

Printable Planners & Journals

printable planners and journals

If you’re looking for one of the best digital products to sell as a beginner, this is it. Printable planners and journals are low-cost to create and always in demand.

Here are a few examples:

  • Daily schedules
  • Budget trackers
  • Gratitude journals
  • Fitness logs
  • Meal planners

People love beautifully designed tools that help them stay organised and feel in control.

Why Printable Planners & Journals Sell:

Printables are evergreen. Life gets messy, and these simple yet effective tools give people a sense of clarity. Whether it’s planning a wedding or tracking a morning routine, these profitable digital products sell well on Etsy and Pinterest year-round.

Beginner Tip:

Don’t try to create a 50-page planner from scratch. Start small with one focused idea — like a “weekly meal prep planner” or “new mum checklist.” Use Canva, pick a niche, and start uploading.

Tools To Help You Create And Sell:

  • Canva (easy drag-and-drop design)
  • Creative Market (fonts, icons, inspiration)
  • Etsy or the popular Gumroad (to list and sell your products)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Printable Planners & Journals

“Act as a digital product creator helping beginners create a printable planner. I want to create a [daily planner/budgeting checklist/habit tracker] for [busy mums/side hustlers/students] who struggle with [time management / saving money / staying consistent].

Give me:

  1. A unique angle or theme for the product
  2. 10 essential pages or sections to include
  3. Headings and subheadings for each page

Ebooks & Digital Guides

ebooks and digital guides

If you want to make digital products to sell while you sleep, ebooks and how-to guides are gold.

You don’t need to write a novel. If you know how to solve a specific problem — budgeting for beginners, quick dinner recipes, decluttering your home — you can turn that knowledge into a sellable guide and start making passive income.

Why Ebooks & Digital Guides Are One Of The Best Digital Products To Sell:

They’re simple to make, require no inventory, and can be downloaded instantly. Once you have created your Ebook, it becomes an automated income stream — no packaging, postage, or time-wasting.

Beginner Tip:

Focus on one problem. “How to Start a Side Hustle in 30 Minutes a Day” or “The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Budgeting” is more appealing than something generic like “Make Money Online”.

Format the Ebook or digital guide nicely with Canva or Designrr, and you are ready to start selling. Whoop!.

Tools To Create And Sell Your Ebook:

  • SEOWriting.ai or ChatGPT (to draft the content)
  • Designrr or Canva (to design the PDF)
  • Payhip, Gumroad, or your website (to sell it automatically)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Ebooks & Digital Guides

“Act like a digital strategist. I want to create a short, paid guide or Ebook to help [my audience] solve [specific problem].

Give me:

  1. A compelling ebook title and subtitle
  2. A complete outline with 5–7 chapters
  3. Bullet points of what to cover in each chapter
  4. Suggested tone and voice
  5. One unique bonus or extra I can add to increase value.”

Canva Templates

canva templates

Selling Canva templates is one of the best digital products to sell for creative beginners who want to make extra income without the faff. Canva is easy to learn without needing graphic design experience.

From Instagram post templates and Pinterest pins to resumes, media kits, or business cards — people will pay for polished, done-for-you designs they can edit themselves.

Why Selling Canva Templates Works So Well:

Small business owners, content creators, and overwhelmed parents always look for shortcuts to make their lives easier. Your templates save them hours, which makes them profitable digital products.

Beginner Tip:

You don’t need graphic design skills. Use Canva’s free version to create 10–20 templates around one specific need, like “Instagram templates for nutrition coaches” or “Pinterest pins for home decor bloggers.”

Where To Sell Your Templates:

  • Beacons (Great place to start)
  • Etsy (huge marketplace for this)
  • Gumroad (simple, beginner-friendly but no marketplace)
  • Your own Shopify or Squarespace site (if you want more control)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Canva Templates

“You are a product design expert. I want to create a Canva template for [social media posts/media kits/business planners] that will help [target audience] achieve [specific goal].

Please suggest:

5 types of templates to include

  1. The content layout for each one
  2. Suggested colours, fonts, and style
  3. Ideas for naming and packaging this product
  4. Keywords I should use for the product listing (SEO for Etsy/Gumroad).”

Digital Wall Art

digital wall art

Yes, people buy art files online — thousands of them every day. It’s a blossoming market and it’s so easy to produce stunning wall art with AI-image generation.

Minimalist quotes, abstract patterns, boho illustrations, seasonal prints — if it looks good on a wall, someone’s searching for it. Digital art is one of the best-selling digital products on Etsy because it’s easy to create, easy to deliver, and never goes out of style.

Why Digital Wall Art Sells:

There is no physical inventory, shipping costs, or customer returns. Buyers get instant downloads, so there is no hassle with dealing with customers. The bonus is that you earn passive income. Win-win.

Beginner Tip:

You don’t have to be an artist. You can use free design tools or purchase commercial-use elements from sites like Creative Market to create aesthetic pieces that people will want to print and frame.

Tools To Create Your Digital Art:

  • Canva or Procreate (for design)
  • Creative Fabrica (for licensed elements) has millions of graphics for commercial use
  • Leonardo AI (You can create daily for free)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Digital Wall Art

“Act as a digital artist and Etsy seller. I want to create a set of digital wall art prints for [target audience, e.g. mums, spiritual women, small business owners]. The style is [minimalist / boho / motivational / nursery / abstract].

Help me create:

  1. 5 digital print ideas with inspirational or meaningful messages
  2. Suggested colour palettes and font pairings
  3. Artwork sizes and file formats to include
  4. Naming ideas for the collection
  5. Tips to make the product stand out on Etsy or Creative Market

Swipe Files & Script Packs

Have you ever stared at a blank page trying to write a caption, sales page, or email? So has your future customer. That’s why swipe files — ready-made templates for emails, DMs, captions, or scripts — are one of the most useful digital products to sell right now.

You create the files once; they copy-paste and tweak them. Boom. Instant value.

Why Swipe Files & Script Packs Are A Goldmine:

Busy people want shortcuts. They don’t want to write a sales pitch from scratch. Your swipe file gives them the words — they just fill in the blanks. These products are small, simple, and highly scalable.

Beginner Tip:

Turn it into a template pack if you’ve ever written something that worked — an email, a landing page, or a DM that got a reply. Offer variations for different scenarios and bundle them together for more perceived value.

Tools to Create & Package Your Scripts:

  • Google Docs or Notion (easy formats buyers love)
  • Canva (for pretty covers and layout)
  • Gumroad or your email list (to sell and deliver automatically)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Swipe Files & Script Packs

“I want to create a swipe file product filled with [Instagram captions/email scripts/lead magnet hooks] for [my niche].

Please help me with:

  1. 15 swipeable examples based on emotional triggers and proven copywriting formulas
  2. What each script is best used for (context)
  3. How I can structure the swipe file into a neat, sellable format
  4. Title ideas for the product
  5. A bonus section idea to add extra value.”

Stock Photos

stock photos

If you’ve got a good eye and a half-decent phone camera, selling stock photography can be a surprisingly passive side hustle — mainly if you focus on niche images people struggle to find.

Think diverse families, everyday mums, body-positive fashion, and flat lays for product-based businesses — these digital products sell consistently across platforms.

Why Stock Photos Are Profitable:

Brands, bloggers, and businesses constantly seek unique images they don’t have to take themselves. If your shots fill a gap in the market, you could be sitting on a low-effort, high-reward income stream.

Beginner Tip:

Start by shooting what you know: Your kitchen, morning routine, and kids’ crafts. Package them into themed bundles like “self-care lifestyle” or “budget meal prep” and sell them via a membership or marketplace.

Where To Sell Your Stock Images:

  • Creative Market or Etsy (for bundles)
  • StyledStockSociety or IvoryMix (if you want to pitch your own library)
  • Your own website or blog for more profit per sale

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Stock Photos

Act as a stock photo creator who sells curated image bundles online. I want to create a themed collection of stock photos for [target audience, e.g. female entrepreneurs, wellness coaches, food bloggers, minimalist brands].

Please help me with:

  1. 5 collection ideas based on what’s in demand or trending
  2. Creative direction for each (e.g. colour palette, props, mood, settings)
  3. Suggested number of images per bundle
  4. Image orientation tips (portrait, landscape, flat lay)
  5. A list of keywords/tags I should include for SEO when uploading to sites like Etsy, Creative Market, or my website
  6. A compelling name and short description for each collection”

Notion Templates

Notion is the internet’s favourite productivity tool — and users are constantly searching for aesthetic, plug-and-play templates to organise their lives.

From goal-setting dashboards and content calendars to habit trackers and budgeting tools, Notion templates are fast developing into one of the best digital products to sell to a time-strapped audience.

Why Selling Notion Templates Works:

People love Notion — but not everyone knows how to build it from scratch. Your template helps them get set up in minutes, and you make money every time someone downloads it.

Beginner Tip:

Start with your own system. If you’ve built a content planner or weekly life organiser that works, polish it up, brand it, and share the link. Use a Notion creator license to sell legally.

Where To Sell:

  • Gumroad (connects easily with Notion links)
  • Your email list (make it a freebie or paid product)
  • Etsy (use product screenshots to grab attention)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Notion Templates

“Help me create a Notion template for [goal – e.g. managing a small business/planning content/tracking habits] targeted at [creators/freelancers/students].

Please include:

  1. A theme or aesthetic idea for the layout
  2. List of database sections and what each one does
  3. Any automation or relations I should add
  4. Naming ideas for the template
  5. A sample description I can use when I sell it online.”

Digital Checklists & Cheat Sheets

Digital Checklists & Cheat Sheets

If you’re looking for a quick win — both for your audience and your income — digital checklists are it.

Think moving house checklists, new baby prep, weekly cleaning cheatsheets, or “what to pack” lists. These sell like hotcakes because they reduce overwhelm, and people love a good tick-box moment.

Why Digital Checklists & Cheat Sheets Sell:

Checklists feel actionable and doable. That emotional hit of “I can manage this” is powerful — and makes these easy-to-create items one of the easiest digital products to sell for beginners.

Beginner Tip:
You only need one page to start. Make it visually appealing with Canva, and give it a title that speaks to a real struggle — like “30-Minute Meal Planning Checklist” or “First Time Mum’s Hospital Bag Guide.”

Selling Platforms:

  • Etsy
  • Payhip
  • Sell via a blog post or Pinterest pin that targets that specific problem

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Digital Checklists & Cheat Sheets

“Act like a productivity and digital product coach. I want to create a [checklist/cheat sheet] that helps [my audience] achieve [very specific task] faster or with less stress.

Please give me:

  1. A clever but clear name for the checklist or cheat sheet
  2. The structure — what to include and how to lay out
  3. The exact steps or bullet points to cover
  4. A bonus or value-add that makes it feel premium
  5. A short description I can use on my product page or Gumroad listing.”

Audio Tracks & Sound Effects

Whether guided meditations, ambient sounds, podcast intros or background music for YouTube, digital audio is a booming niche — and one of the most overlooked digital products to sell.

This money-making digital product could be your golden ticket if you’re musically inclined (or even good at curating vibes).

Why Selling Audio Tracks & Sound Effects is Profitable:

Creators are always looking for royalty-free sound. Your digital tracks give them high-quality options without the hassle or licensing fees. And since they download instantly, it’s another truly passive product.

Beginner Tip:

Use free tools like Audacity or BandLab to record and edit. Start with niche categories — like sleep affirmations, journaling background tracks, or minimal sound effects. Explore ElevenLabs, too, which is a fantastic ai text-to-audio platform.

Where To Sell:

  • Pond5, AudioJungle (if you want exposure)
  • Your own site or blog (for more control and higher profit)
  • Etsy (yes, people buy sound packs there too!)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Audio Tracks & Sound Effects

“Act as a creator of audio digital products. I want to make a collection of [meditation tracks / ambient loops / sound effects / guided affirmations] for [content creators / YouTubers / mindfulness coaches / busy professionals].

Please help me with:

  1. 5 product ideas based on what’s trending or needed in the market
  2. Track names that evoke emotion or clearly describe the vibe
  3. Audio length suggestions for each type
  4. Format and file delivery advice (e.g. MP3, WAV, bundled folders)
  5. How to describe the mood or use-case for each sound in the product description.”

Recipe Packs & Meal Plans

This final item is one of the best digital products to sell if your audience includes busy parents, fitness beginners, or anyone trying to eat healthier without spending hours meal planning.

These could be printable PDFs, swipe files or digital meal planning tools that make healthy eating feel easily achievable.

Why Recipe Packs & Meal Plans Sell:

Food is emotional. If your meal plan helps someone feel less stressed, more in control, or excited about eating again, they are more than happy to pay for it.

Beginner Tip:

Bundle 7 easy recipes into a “One Week Meal Plan” or “Budget Dinners Under £5” guide. You can also add a grocery checklist to increase the value instantly.

Tools To Create Your Meal Plans:

  • Canva (for formatting)
  • ChatGPT or SEOWriting.ai (for drafting if needed)
  • Gumroad or email opt-in (to start building your list, too)

ChatGPT Prompt to Create Recipe Packs & Meal Plans:

“You are a digital product creator in the health and wellness niche. I want to make a digital product that includes [recipe packs/meal plans / weekly food prep guides] for [target audience, e.g. busy parents, vegans, gluten-free eaters, gym beginners].

Please suggest:

  1. A strong product name that’s specific to the goal (e.g. ‘5-Day Low-Carb Kickstart’)
  2. The number of recipes or days to include
  3. Layout suggestions (ingredients, macros, prep time, notes)
  4. Bonus pages like grocery lists or prep checklists
  5. A short sales blurb with an emotional appeal.”

Bonus ChatGPT Prompts

Now, you’ve got your digital product ready to sell. Well done! Here are some helpful ChatGPT prompts to help nail your marketing strategy.

For Naming Your Digital Product

“Act as a brand strategist, helping me name a digital product. The product is a [planner/ebook/swipe file/template] designed for [target audience] who want to [main transformation or goal].

  2. A short subtitle or tagline for each
  3. A quick explanation of why each name works
  4. Optional emojis or symbols I can use for branding (optional but trendy).”

For Pricing Your Digital Product

“Act as a digital product pricing expert. I’m selling a [type of product] to [target audience]. It helps them [solve a specific problem or save time/money].

Please help me with:

  1. Suggested pricing tiers (basic, premium, bundle, etc.)
  2. What to include at each tier
  3. How to add perceived value (without more effort)
  4. Whether this should be a low-ticket or mid-ticket product and why
  5. 3 bonuses or extras I can include to justify a higher price.”

For Writing Your Sales Page

“Act as a copywriter who specialises in high-converting digital product sales pages. I’ve created a [product type] for [niche/audience] to help them [specific result].

Write me a complete sales page including:

  1. A scroll-stopping headline and subheading
  2. A relatable intro about the problem
  3. 3–5 benefit-driven bullet points
  4. A section called ‘Here’s what’s inside’
  5. Testimonials (you can make up 2 examples for now)
  6. A closing call to action.”

For Creating a Free Lead Magnet

“I want to create a free lead magnet to grow my email list and sell my [paid product]. Help me create a mini version or teaser of my product that solves one specific problem for [my target audience].

Give me:

  1. An idea for a quick-win freebie (e.g. checklist, starter kit, cheat sheet)
  2. A title that sparks curiosity and offers clear value
  3. What to include inside
  4. How to position it as a stepping stone to my paid product.”

Final Thoughts: Start Small, Sell Smart

You don’t need a massive audience, a fancy website, or hours of free time to start selling digital products. However, you need a solid idea, a problem to solve, and the courage to take that first step, even if it’s messy.

The best digital products to sell aren’t the most complicated. They’re the most helpful. The kind that makes someone’s life easier, faster, or better. And right now, someone is searching for exactly what you could create.

So don’t wait for the perfect moment. Start small. Test something simple. Tweak as you go. The beauty of creating and selling digital products is that you can build as you learn — and earn while you sleep.

FAQs

What Are the Easiest Digital Products to Create as a Beginner?

The easiest digital products to start with are those you already know about. Think printable checklists, planners, templates, or even simple guides.

You don’t need fancy tech or a graphic design degree — just a straightforward solution to a problem people are already searching for.

Can I Sell Digital Products Without an Audience?

Yes — but having a small, targeted audience makes a big difference. Many beginners start by listing products on platforms like Beacons, Etsy or Gumroad, where people are already searching for solutions.

Focus on SEO-rich titles and keywords so your product gets found, even if no one follows you (yet).

Do I Need My Own Website to Sell Digital Products?

Not at first. You can absolutely get started using marketplaces like Etsy, Payhip, or Gumroad. But if you want to scale your income long-term, having your own website gives you more control, better profit margins, and a chance to grow your email list.

What Are the Best Platforms to Sell My Digital Products Online?

Some of the best platforms for beginners include:

  • Etsy – fantastic for printables and templates
  • Beacons – Start for free, plus get a link-in-bio
  • Shopify – You can start with a super low priced Shopify store
  • Gumroad – ideal for guides, Notion templates, or digital files
  • Payhip – perfect for UK creators and simple checkouts
  • Your own blog or Shopify site – best if you want full ownership

Choose one based on your product and how tech-savvy you are.

How Do I Make Sure My Digital Product Actually Sells?

Start by solving one super-specific problem. Your product doesn’t have to be big — it just has to be helpful. Research what people are searching for on Pinterest, Etsy, or Reddit.

Use clear titles, emotional benefit-driven descriptions, and beautiful mockups showing value. And always test and tweak based on feedback.

Can I Really Make Passive Income With Digital Products?

Yes — but passive doesn’t mean instant. The upfront work (creating, designing, uploading, and marketing your product) is where your time goes. But once it’s live and converting, it can sell repeatedly with little to no extra effort — even while you sleep.

In 2024, I was on IG Threads and heard about a woman who created a single recipe and sold it for $3. She made a staggering $250,000 from that one recipe. Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but it shows what is possible with a little effort. (Google it if you don’t believe me)

Profitable Side Hustles for Beginners You Can Start Today

April 16, 2025

Last Updated on June 14, 2025 by Jan Barley

If you’re looking for profitable side hustles for beginners, you’re in the right place. Whether wanting a bit of extra money to pay the bills or want to build a full-time income.

It doesn’t matter if you’re working full time, juggling nap times, school runs, or have some spare time in the evenings. We got you. Above all, this guide will walk you through realistic ways to make money from home, even if you’re starting from scratch.

Moreover, these aren’t just ideas—they’re tried and tested by budding entrepreneurs who crave more flexibility, freedom, and financial wiggle room.

Start a Faceless YouTube Channel

start a faceless youtube channel

Yes, you can earn money from faceless content on YouTube without ever showing your face! Faceless YouTube channels are ideal for beginners who feel camera-shy or prefer creating quietly behind the scenes.

For instance, one mum I know started a channel focused on relaxing music for toddlers. She used stock videos and AI voiceovers to create soothing bedtime content.

After uploading just a few videos, she began earning money through YouTube ads and affiliate links.

It’s a fabulous example of a profitable side hustle for beginners who want passive income.

You don’t need fancy equipment. Above all, with the right tools and a bit of creativity, you can launch a YouTube channel over the weekend.

Your primary focus must be to find a profitable YouTube niche and choose a channel that inspires you. The truth is, you may not see instant results. Few people do. Certainly, it takes time for the YouTube algorithm to understand your content and place it in front of the right audience.

Focus on learning the best tips for YouTube growth. I picked these tips from hugely successful YouTubers and am just starting to apply them to my YouTube channels.

AI Tools To Help You Get Started

  • Pictory ai to turn your script into engaging video content
  • ElevenLabs to create human-sounding voiceovers
  • vidIQ to optimise your videos so more people find them

Other free tools are Capcut for editing video and Audacity for adding voice effects.

YouTube channel ideas

  • Sleep music for babies
  • Affirmations for mums
  • Relaxing nature scenes
  • Sleep stories for adults

If you’re creative and want to find profitable side hustles for beginners that can grow in the background, this one’s a gem.

Affiliate Marketing

affliliate marketing side hustle

Affiliate marketing is a brilliant beginner-friendly side hustle. Primarily, you recommend products you genuinely use, and when someone buys through your link—you get paid.

Above all, affiliate marketing is low risk, easy to start, and can snowball into a solid income stream. However, don’t expect instant results. It can take time. Your affiliate marketing results depend on how much traffic you can drive to your offers.

Work on search engine marketing like Google (focus on writing SEO content for your blog), YouTube and Pinterest. Yes, I did say Pinterest! It’s a formidable search engine. Depending on your niche, it can start driving sales quickly once your account gains momentum.

I did several Pinterest courses that taught me how to create beautiful, inspiring pins and learn Pinterest SEO.

Unfortunately, I messed up my first Pinterest account. It got taken down after getting suspended because I made rookie errors.

Benefits of affiliate marketing:

  • No product to create
  • No dealing with customer service
  • You can start with products you already love

For instance, you could share links on your Instagram Stories, in a blog post, or on Pinterest.

If you’re a blogger or content creator, using Keysearch will help you find high-ranking keywords to drive more traffic. Keysearch is a quarter of the price of the expensive Ahrefs! Moreover, it’s beginner-friendly and can help you get more traffic by targeting the best keywords for your niche.

Freelance Writing

become a freelance writer

If you’ve got a knack for words, freelance writing is a flexible and profitable option. You don’t need to be a perfect writer—just clear, helpful, and reliable.

For example, when I started out, I wrote blog posts for anyone who would pay me. Over time, my writing improved, and I increased my rates. I started in late 2020 at £30 per 1,000 words and now get paid ten times that amount!

Build a portfolio. Practice and learn from successful writers. It’s a lovely way to earn extra money. For me, it’s a full-time income working part-time hours.

How to Get Started as a Writer

Pick a niche you enjoy. I mostly write for dog publications and life coaches in the mindset niche because I enjoy both. For instance, I’m a qualified dog behaviourist with multiple qualifications relevant to psychological businesses.

Focus on writing content that people love to read. Make your writing relatable and talk to one person. Identify their problems and provide a solution with your writing.

Where to find beginner gigs:

  • Facebook groups for bloggers or small businesses (get access to 600 Facebook groups to promote your writing business)
  • Freelance platforms like Fiverr or Upwork (these aren’t great, but they get you experience)
  • Reaching out directly to brands you admire

Once you have a portfolio of published work, register with Clearvoice. I don’t write for them now, as I have dedicated client work. However, I got quite a lot of work from that platform in the beginning.

To speed up your writing and optimise it for SEO, try SEOWriting.ai. Primarily, this AI tool helps you write quicker and smarter—not harder.

Selling Digital Products on Etsy

Start Selling Digital Products on Etsy

Selling printables or digital downloads on Etsy is a fantastic way to create passive income. Once it’s made, it can sell again and again.

You can design things like:

  • Habit trackers
  • Digital journals
  • Meal planners
  • Vision board kits
  • Affirmation cards
  • Budget templates
  • Kids activity sheets
  • Printable invitations
  • Routine charts for kids

The scope is infinite for what you can create and sell on Etsy.

Tools like Canva make designing easy, and Keysearch helps you find what buyers are searching for. For instance, with just a few listings, you could have a little digital shop running in the background of your day.

Try not to copy other Etsy accounts just because they’re successful. Focus on providing digital products or printables with a unique touch and make your mark on the platform.

Above all, you will need to stay consistent and list new products regularly. That way, one or more products could take off and start making money fast.

Although Etsy is one of the profitable side hustles for beginners, there is a caveat. Etsy can be unpredictable. Some Etsy sellers have no issues, but others experience all sorts of annoying problems, such as Etsy randomly closing their accounts.

My advice for pursuing profitable side hustles for beginners is NEVER to put all your eggs in one basket. Have at least two side hustles; if one falls by the wayside, you aren’t left without an income.

Blogging for Passive Income

make passive income from blogging

Any idiot who tells you blogging is dead can do one. Blogging was and still is one of the best profitable side hustles for beginners. That said, low-value blogging content has had its day.

In addition, Google and most ad-revenue platforms now want quality blogging websites for their advertising partners. With all the Google updates since 2022, the focus is on helpful content that satisfies user intent.

Blogging can start small and build into a beautiful business. Meanwhile, each post is like planting a seed that can grow over time. Most importantly, once you gain traffic, you can earn money from affiliate links, ads, or your own products.

Read: How To Create Evergreen Content That Ranks For Years

I started working seriously on my blog in April 2024. A year later, I got monetised with Journey by Mediavine, which was my goal for a passive income stream. You can install the Grow plug-in on a WordPress site to get approved once you have sufficient traffic. The plug-in has a few helpful tools to boost your website.

Journey by Mediavine recently removed 500 websites from their platform. Apparently, the reason is because they no longer support the flaky, sparse content (notably lengthy listicles) you see on some AI-written websites like the home décor niche.

Write quality content from the start, content that helps the reader and you stand a chance of getting approval. Don’t bother with Google Adsense. I tried that first, and it looked so clunky and intrusive on my website that I removed it.

In addition to ad revenue, I have 40+ affiliate partnerships and a ton of traffic coming in daily.

Was it hard work? You bet. Often, I did not want to write blog content or research user intent and keywords. Still, I set my goal to write one hundred blog posts within my first year, and I achieved that. It’s now paying off.

So, my friend, prepare for the long haul because the rewards are fantastic if you work hard now, preparing for the future passive income you crave.

To start a money-making blog, you’ll need:

  • A topic you’re passionate about
  • A simple WordPress site
  • Tools like SEOWriting ai help you write SEO-optimised content that ranks FAST. Keysearch is an affordable and user-friendly SEO software that allows beginners to research the best keywords. It’s a fraction of the price of most SEO tools and does equally as good a job as more expensive SEO tools.

Most importantly, if you love writing or sharing tips with others, blogging for passive income is one of the most rewarding long-term profitable side hustles for beginners, especially if you want to maximise earnings without working longer hours.

Voiceover Work Using AI

voiceover work using ElevenLabs AI

Voiceovers aren’t just for radio pros anymore. With tools like ElevenLabs, anyone can create polished audio—even if you don’t love your natural voice. The platform has hundreds of unique voices for every genre.

Best Applications for AI voiceovers

  • Podcasts
  • Presentations
  • Video Courses
  • Guided meditations
  • Audiobooks or children’s stories
  • YouTube channels (see my Simply Manifesting channel and Soulful Entrepreneur channel, which I have used ElevenLabs for a chunk of the content

In addition, you can clone your voice with ElevenLabs. It takes a bit of time to get the right sound, but that alone can save hours of recording time. It’s surprisingly affordable, too.

The scope for profitable side hustles for beginners using voiceovers is unlimited. Therefore, with AI text-to-speech tools, creating top-quality audio content in minutes has become possible. No more bumbling with repeated takes, cutting out background noise, or the annoying space fillers like “ums” and “ers”.

Voiceover work is perfect for mums who want to work quietly behind the scenes. Once set up, it’s fast and fun, and you can even build recurring clients.

Social Media Management

social media management side hustle

If you’re already spending time on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook or Pinterest, why not turn that into income? Social media management is one of the profitable side hustles for beginners that many people have fun doing. They earn a good income too.

Many small businesses have no idea how to manage their social media accounts. It’s time-consuming and tricky understanding the different guidelines for each platform, so they’ll happily pay someone who “gets it.”

Beginner-friendly tasks include:

  • Writing posts
  • Writing captions
  • Designing Canva graphics
  • Scheduling content using free tools

Start by choosing which social media platform to focus on. That way, you can make more money as a specialist, and it’s easier to get referrals. For instance, offer to help a local business or friend. As you gain confidence, you can offer packages or monthly retainers.

Once you gain a good reputation, you will receive referrals from your happy clients. It’s a job most business owners find frustrating and time-consuming. Therefore, if you love content creation, it’s one of the best profitable side hustles for beginners.

Above all, make your job easier by using a scheduling tool like the popular Metricool. You can post fifty pieces of content each month entirely for free. After that, the price is much more affordable than other scheduling platforms.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed reading about 7 of the best profitable side hustles for beginners. I think you’ll agree that they are simple, realistic, and totally doable, even with a busy mum’s life.

You don’t need to do them all. Indeed, that can only lead to feeling overwhelmed.

Above all, choose one that speaks to you, permit yourself to start small, and trust that it will grow. Every business begins with that first brave step.

So, make a cuppa, pick your hustle, and let’s make that extra income a reality.

The Not-So-Faceless YouTube Challenges

invideo

Let’s keep it real for a second. While faceless YouTube channels sound like the ultimate hands-off hustle (and they totally can be), they come with unique creative hurdles.

My experience of creating faceless content for my YouTube channels has been interesting. Using Leonardo, Dream Labs, ElevenLabs, Audacity, CapCut and Canva, a five-minute video can take a day or so to complete from scratch to the final editing and adding captions.

Here are a few behind-the-scenes challenges you’ll probably face — and some cheeky ways to handle them:

Finding Great Footage (That Won’t Get You Sued)

Royalty-free footage can be, let’s say, hit or miss. You’ll either find someone eating salad in slow-motion or a businessman pointing at graphs from 2006.

How to Find Great Video Footage:

  • Use high-quality stock libraries like Artgrid, Storyblocks, or Pexels Video for better footage.
  • If you’re animating or using AI visuals, you might not need stock footage— but you still need variety to keep viewers engaged.

Alternatively, try creating video content with Pictory, Synthesia or FlexClip. They do soooo much of the heavy lifting for you by creating royalty-free video footage in a fraction of the time.

AI Image Generation: Cool, But Time-Consuming

Yes, tools like Midjourney, DALL·E, and Ideogram are magical — but crafting the perfect prompt? That can feel like trying to explain a dream to a robot.

How to Make Image Generation Quicker & Easier

  • Save prompt templates and re-use them across the series.
  • Batch generate images in themes (e.g., all mythical creatures one day, all dream scenes the next).
  • Consider tools like Canva’s AI image gen for faster visuals with fewer steps.

Voiceovers Without Your Voice

AI voices are a dream come true for faceless creators — until they sound like a customer service bot stuck in a loop.

Sourcing the Best AI Voiceovers that Sound Human

  • Use top-tier tools like ElevenLabs for natural-sounding narration. The results are fantastic. You would never know that the voices aren’t ‘real.’
  • Train your own voice clone (a bit creepy but cool).
  • If AI isn’t cutting it, hire a narrator on Fiverr for a consistent voice that doesn’t break the bank. You can create an AI voice from scratch with ElevenLabs, so if they happen to remove a standard voice, yours will be safe. The best thing about ElevenLabs is that you can clone your voice. I uploaded a 2-minute recording and the result is good enough to use for my YouTube channels. saving me hours of audio recording.

Making It Flow Without a Face

Your visuals and pacing must do all the heavy lifting when you’re not on camera. That means more time spent editing, scripting, and scene planning.

Creating Video Footage That People Want to Watch

  • Create a signature format (e.g., intro hook, 3 key points, call-to-action).
  • Use a mix of stills, motion graphics, text overlays, and music to hold attention.
  • Tools like Pictory.ai or Synthesia can streamline this if you’re doing it solo.

Managing It All (Without Going Bonkers)

Faceless doesn’t mean frictionless. Yes, it’s definitely easier than hours trying to record on camera with all the hassle that brings, not least that you hate the way you look, and you can’t do it in your pyjamas 😊

Planning, scripting, sourcing, editing, uploading, optimising, responding to comments… yeah, it adds up.

Recommended Tools for Creating YouTube Video Content

You could spend a fortune on software that helps you create YouTube videos, but it’s best to start with a fruigal approach. After that you can start adding AI tools once you start making some money. The following are a few I currently use or have used:

VidIQ: The Only YouTube Growth & Optimisation Tool You Need

I got the chance to try VidIQ for a no-brainer offer price. I’d been using Tube Buddy but it wasn’t making any difference to results for my new channel. It’s low cost, simple to use and I recommend it to anyone that wants to grow their channel.

For one thing, it assesses your thumbnails and descriptions and gives them a score. Mine were, on average, around 60/100. Now, they are 95/100 and I am gaining subscribers, views and watchtime.

VidIQ comes with a powerful Chrome extension that connects to your YouTube channel. That helps with:

  • Optimising titles
  • Suggesting SEO descriptions
  • Scoring your video optimisation
  • Suggesting high-performing tags
  • and more

Another fantastic service is the video review. You simply submit the URL of one of your videos and a VidIQ coach records a video review suggested what you did well and any improvements. That really helped me when I first started switching up my content from VidIQ training.

VidIQ tracks how your content is performing and helps you set goals. It also gives you daily suggestions for video content that will likely perform in your niche. It provides a service to research competitors and outliers and has a thumbnail creator, which I don’t use as I prefer making my own within VidIQ parameters.

The VidIQ Script Writer is phenomenal. It makes ChatGPT look like a dunce! It’s genuinely human-like and you can choose the tone.

After choosing an idea from the daily suggestions (optimised for your channel) I give the idea to the Script Writer, including how long you want the video and it does the job.

All of my scripts have been generated this way since I subscribed to VidIQ and the results speak for themselves (see below image). That alone, saves me hours of writing scripts or expecting ChatGPT to do a half decent job.

vidiq stats

Since implenting VidIqs training, my little channel is finally growing

With VidIQ, YouTube creators like you can make data-driven decisions, boost their video visibility, and gain valuable insights into what’s working on your channel, and what’s not. Whether you’re just starting or scaling up, VidIQ gives you a fantastic range of tools considering the price, and helps you grow your audience.

Try VidIQ for Free

Other Essential Tools I Use & Recommend

  1. CapCut – Video editor that most YouTubers use
  2. ElevenLabs – Voiceovers and you can clone your voice by uploading audio samples!
  3. Uppbeat – Royalty-Free music (I’ve been a member for 5+ years)
  4. Systeme.io – for when you are ready to build an email list from your channel (free up to 2k subscribers)

Conclusion

Faceless channels take less confidence but not less creativity. With solid tools and a sprinkle of strategy, you can overcome these hurdles and keep cranking out binge-worthy content like a pro.

So, there you have it — the profitable faceless YouTube channel ideas that go beyond the usual suspects. Whether you’re uncovering weird jobs, diving into animal oddities, or decoding dreams, there’s a faceless niche just waiting for your unique spin.

Creating content for these channels comes with challenges — from finding the perfect stock footage to mastering AI-generated images. But don’t worry. With the right tools and a little creativity, you can overcome anything. Plus, once you get into a groove, the possibilities are endless.

Remember, the beauty of faceless channels is that you can let your content speak for itself. It’s all about storytelling, engagement, and finding that sweet spot between unique ideas and consistency. The world’s your oyster, and you don’t even have to show your face.

So, grab that camera (or just your voice), hit record, and start building your faceless empire. Who knows? Maybe your next viral video will be one of these brilliant ideas.

Passive Income with AI for Moms (Super Smart Ideas)

April 8, 2025

Last Updated on June 14, 2025 by Jan Barley

Passive income with AI for moms is a proven model many women take advantage of, so why not you?

Are you a busy mum who dreams of earning extra money while the kids nap or during school hours? You’re not alone. More and more mums are turning to passive income with AI to create flexible, family-friendly income — without burning out.

Whether you want to help with bills, start a creative project, or build a full-blown business, AI tools make it easier to make money online using artificial intelligence. And moreover, you don’t need to be a tech expert.

In this post, we’ll explore five brilliant ways to earn passive income using AI, designed for beginners and time-poor mums. I’ll also share some of the smartest AI tools (ones I use and recommend) to help you get started quickly.

What is Passive Income (And How Does AI Help)?

Passive income means earning money from work you’ve already done — while you sleep, make dinner, or spend time with your kids. It’s not always 100% “hands off,” but with the help of AI automation tools, it can get pretty close.

Thanks to AI, you can now create content, products, or services faster, easier, and often for free. That is to say, you don’t need to hire help or spend months learning complicated software.

The following passive income with AI tips are what I’ve done or am doing. I generate a small passive income monthly, which will grow as I develop my business. It takes time, so be patient because it is very much worth the effort initially.

Create & Sell Digital Products with AI Tools

create and sell digital products

Selling digital products is an easy and flexible way for moms to earn passive income with AI, and it’s perfect for beginners. You don’t need to be a graphic designer or marketing expert. With the help of AI tools, you can create beautiful, helpful, and in-demand products quickly, even during nap time.

Think printable planners, affirmation cards, kids’ activity sheets, budgeting templates, or self-care trackers — all of which are in demand on platforms like Etsy, Gumroad, and your blog. Certainly, some moms earn a high six-figure income from selling digital products on Etsy.

The best part about this process is that once your digital product is created and uploaded, it can sell over and over again while you focus on your family, take a walk, or catch up on Netflix. That’s the magic of AI-powered digital product income.

Now, let’s detail how to sell digital products step by step.

Step 1: Find a Profitable Product Idea

Start by thinking about your own life. What do you regularly use that others might find helpful? Above all, as a mum, you might already have systems for meal planning, toddler routines, screen time schedules, or chore charts — turn those into products!

Use ChatGPT to brainstorm product ideas and niche topics and create product titles or taglines.

Pro tip: Ask the AI, “What are some trending digital products for mums to sell on Etsy?” and let it spark your ideas.

Tools for this stage:

  • ChatGPT – Perfect for every aspect of creating a passive income (try for free)
  • SEOWriting.ai – to help you research low-competition keywords for your product titles and Etsy listings (get a free trial)

Step 2: Create the Digital Product

Don’t worry if you’re not artistic — tools like Canva AI make it super easy to design printables from templates. You can also use AI-generated art or elements from tools like Creative Fabrica to add a unique look to your designs.

Need help formatting things neatly or creating a consistent look? AI-enhanced tools like Designrr can help you put together digital guides, workbooks, or eBooks with a polished, professional feel.

Tools for design:

  • Canva AI – User-friendly, great for beginners
  • Creative Fabrica Spark – Generate graphics or fonts
  • Designrr – Create eBooks, planners, or lead magnets

Step 3: Optimise Your Product Listings for Sales

Once you’ve created your product, you’ll need a description that helps it sell — and rank in search results. That is where AI shines again.

Use SEOWriting.ai to write SEO-friendly Etsy descriptions, keyword-rich product titles, and call-to-action copy that makes people click Buy Now.

AI will help you use the correct search terms, avoid keyword stuffing, and clearly communicate your product’s benefits.

Tools for listings:

  • SEOWriting.ai – It is especially great for Etsy SEO
  • Jasper.ai – Write persuasive copy with conversion-focused templates
  • Ubersuggest – Research relevant keywords for Etsy or Gumroad (Get a free Ubersuggest account)

Step 4: Where to Sell Your Digital Products

Once your product is ready, you can upload it to:

  • Beacons – Start with a free account & sell any digital product
  • Shopify – Shopify is a great way to start a digital products business (open a Shopify account)
  • Etsy – Ideal for planners, trackers, and aesthetic printables
  • Your website – Especially if you’re blogging or building an email list. Add an e-commerce plug-in like WooCommerce, and you will be good to go.

You only need to set it up once — then it’s all automated. Meanwhile, sales come in even while you’re busy being Supermom.

Selling AI-powered digital products is a perfect starting point if you’re new to passive income. Thereefore, it’s low-cost, low-risk, and incredibly fulfilling — especially when helping other mums solve problems you’ve already cracked yourself.

With the right AI tools, a little imagination, and a couple of quiet hours each week, you can build a digital product business that runs in the background of your life.

Start a Faceless YouTube Channel with AI

start a faceless youtube channel

Want to earn passive income with AI as a mum, but the idea of being on camera sounds exhausting? Good news — faceless YouTube channels are real, and they’re blowing up right now. Even better, you can create videos using AI tools without picking up a camera or saying a word.

YouTube is one of the best ways to build a long-term income stream that runs quietly in the background while you focus on family life. Above all, the spin-offs are immeasurable.

I’ve just started two faceless channels and will soon launch a third. I am in the early stages of learning what does and doesn’t work, but I know it can take time to gain traction on YouTube.

MyYouTube channels:

  • Simply Manifesting
  • Soulful Entrepreneur
  • The School of Thought (not live yet)

What’s a Faceless YouTube Channel?

A faceless YouTube channel doesn’t show your face or require you to film anything yourself. Instead, you use AI to generate:

  • Scripts
  • Voiceovers
  • Subtitles and captions
  • Visuals (like animations, stock clips, or slides)
  • Even complete video editing!

It’s perfect for introverts, busy mums, or anyone who wants a low-pressure way to share valuable content.

Popular faceless channel ideas include:

  • Affirmations or meditations
  • Storytime channels for kids
  • Quotes and life advice
  • Product reviews
  • DIY guides or top 10 lists

Step-by-Step: How to Launch A YouTube Channel

The following four steps to launching a faceless YouTube channel will help mums make passive income from their creativity. You might also like to read my recent article on Tips for YouTube Growth How Top YouTubers Succeed.

Step 1: Pick a Profitable Niche You Enjoy

Start by choosing a topic that won’t bore you after two weeks. Bonus points if it’s something you already love — parenting tips, mindset hacks, recipes, or home organisation are all great starting points.

Use ChatGPT to help you brainstorm channel names and video ideas. It can help create content upload schedules. For example, you can  ask it to write a 5-minute video script titled “Top 5 Time-Saving Hacks for Busy Mums.” After that, ask it for visual ideas for the chapters and prompts if you want to create AI-generated images.

Tools for this stage:

  • ChatGPT– Your right-hand ‘man’ for literally every aspect of creation. I get ideas, scripts, and ideas for visuals from ChatGPT for my channels. (Open free account)
  • VidIQ – AI tool to analyse trending video topics and keywords

Step 2: Create Voiceovers Without Using Your Voice

There is no need to record anything yourself. AI voice generators like ElevenLabs can turn any script into natural-sounding speech. Choose from various voices, accents, and tones that match your channel’s vibe.

For example, use a soft, soothing voice for a kids’ bedtime story channel — or a bold, confident voice for productivity and mindset videos.

Tools for AI voiceovers:

  • ElevenLabs – Access realistic voices (even whisper tones for meditations): See my review of ElevenLabs and comparisons with other text-to-audio AI programs

Step 3:  Generate Visuals Without Filming

Now, this is where the fun begins. Use Pictory.ai or Sythesia.ai to turn your script into a full video with copyright-free stock footage, animated text, and transitions. You don’t need editing skills — the AI does most of the work for you.

FlexClip is another up-and-coming AI platform that I am testing and, so far, impressed with.

Tools for visuals:

  • Pictory.ai – Converts text to video with AI scene selection (try for free)
  • Synthesia – Text-to-video software (try for free)
  • FlexClip – Simple faceless video maker with templates (try for free)
  • Canva Pro – Easy slideshow and animation-style video creation (try for free)

Step 4: Edit and Upload Like a Pro

Use tools like the free Audacity software to tweak your audio, remove filler words, and add captions. These tools are perfect for beginners and help your content look polished and professional. I use this software for my audio editing and found it easy to learn because it is intuitive for beginners.

Finally, upload to YouTube and let AI help again — use TubeBuddy or VidIQ to optimise your title, tags, and description so your videos are more likely to be found in search.

Tools for editing & uploading:

  • Audacity – Edit video and audio by editing text
  • Veed.io – Adds captions and trims quickly
  • TubeBuddy – Helps with SEO and keyword targeting on YouTube
  • VidIQ – Analytics and keyword research

Why YouTube Works for Passive Income

YouTube pays creators monthly through ad revenue — and once a video is uploaded, it can generate income for years with no extra work. Add affiliate links or promote your digital products in your video description to increase your earnings.

I spent some time learning tips for YouTube growth from successful YouTubers, and I am confident these tips will help grow a YouTube channel.

A YouTube channel is one of the most innovative ways to build AI-powered passive income for mums, especially if you’re short on time and prefer staying behind the scenes.

You don’t need a big audience, fancy gear, or extra hours in your day: just a few solid tools and a commitment to start.

Once you post a few videos, the process becomes easier — and you’ll be amazed at how much content you can create while your little one naps or watches Peppa Pig for the 10th time.

Start a Blog with AI (No Tech Skills Needed)

blogging with ai for passive income

Don’t listen to the people who tell you blogging is dead. I’ve been building my blog for twelve months and have just qualified for Journey by Mediavine, which gives me passive ad revenue. I have affiliate products and gained high-paying client work from my blog.

If you love writing, sharing tips, or want a creative outlet that earns you money — blogging is an incredible way to build passive income with AI for mums. And thanks to AI tools, you no longer need to be a tech wizard, SEO expert, or full-time writer to launch a profitable blog from scratch.

Whether passionate about parenting hacks, wellness, recipes, or home organisation, AI can help you plan, write, and promote your blog faster than ever.

Why Blogging Still Works in 2025 (And Beyond)

People may say blogging is “dead,” but they couldn’t be further from the truth. Blogs are alive and well — especially niche blogs. By focusing on a specific topic, you can build an audience, grow traffic from search engines, and earn through affiliate marketing, ad revenue, sponsored posts, and digital products.

With the right tools, your blog can become a long-term income stream that keeps growing — even when you’re offline.

Step 1: Choose a Blog Niche You Can Stick With

Start by choosing a niche that overlaps with your interests and what people are already searching for. The more specific, the better. For example:

  • “Healthy family meals on a budget”
  • “Toddler activity ideas for rainy days”
  • “Simple home routines for overwhelmed mums”

Use ChatGPT or SurferSEO to brainstorm blog topics, check keyword demand, and plan out pillar content (big articles that everything else links back to).

AI tools for niche research:

  • ChatGPT – Great for brainstorming blog names and topic ideas (get a free account)
  • Ubersuggest – Finds trending low-competition keywords (get a free account)
  • SurferSEO – Suggests blog outlines based on Google’s top results. SurferSEO is not cheap, but it works to get your content ranked.

Step #2: Write Posts That Rank (Without Being a Writer)

Writing blog posts is where AI shines. You can use tools like SEOWriting.ai to generate entire blog posts in minutes, optimised for keywords and structured for readability.

But the secret is editing. Don’t just copy and paste. Add your own voice, examples from your life, and real tips that make it more relatable. You’re writing for humans, not robots!

AI writing tools:

  • SEOWriting.ai – This is my preferred blog post writer for creating optimised blog posts
  • KoalaWriter – Fast first drafts for niche sites (a bit robotic)
  • NeuronWriter – Combines AI writing with keyword intent (better than some)
  • Jasper.ai – High-converting blog intros and CTA copy (expensive)

Step #3: Create Blog Graphics in Minutes

Blogs with visuals get more shares and keep readers on the page longer. Use AI design tools like Canva AI to create Pinterest images, blog headers, infographics, and even eBook covers if you offer a freebie.

Visual tools to try:

  • Canva AI – Drag-and-drop visuals with AI suggestions
  • Visme – Interactive visuals and infographics
  • RelayThat – Branding automation for consistent blog visuals
  • Kittl – Gorgeous, creative graphics (great for printable freebies)

Step #4: Promote Your Blog with AI Help

Traffic doesn’t just appear on its own — you’ve got to share your posts. Thankfully, AI makes content promotion easier, too.

Use Metricool to automate social media posts across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Pinterest. You can even repurpose blog posts into quotes, carousels, or short reels.

Promotion tools:

  • Metricool – Schedules and repurposes content (get 50 free content posts per month)
  • Frase – Optimises posts for SEO

Step #5:  Monetise Like a Pro (Even With Low Traffic)

Once your blog has a few solid posts, it’s time to start earning. Here are a few beginner-friendly ways:

  • Affiliate marketing – Recommend tools like SEOWriting.ai or Canva and earn a commission
  • Ad networks – Start with Google AdSense but work towards Journey by Mediavine. That was my goal in April 2024, and in March 2025, I qualified for approval. It pays significantly more than Google AdSense and has up to $40 RPM in some niches.
  • Digital products – Sell checklists, guides, or templates
  • Email list – Build an audience that buys from you regularly

AI can help you write email sequences, create product mock-ups, and A/B test headlines to increase conversions.

Monetisation helpers:

  • Systeme.io – Free funnels + email marketing (open lifetime free account)
  • ThriveCart – For selling eBooks and digital products (somewhat expensive)
  • ChatGPT – Write landing pages and email follow-ups

Starting a blog from a ‘blank page’ can feel overwhelming — especially when juggling nap schedules and snack demands — but with the right AI-powered tools, it’s more doable than ever.

You don’t need to be an expert. You only need a laptop, a niche, and a willingness to show up. Let AI handle the rest. Since I started using ChatGPT for ideas and some of the grunt work, producing blog content that ranks has become easier.

Your blog could be the first step towards something extraordinary — a platform that gives you freedom, connection, and income on your own terms.

Create and Sell eBooks with AI

create and sell ebooks

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to write a book, but I’ve got no time,” AI is here to change that. With the right tools, you can go from idea to finished product in days — sometimes even hours. And yes, it’s a fantastic way for mums to build passive income with AI that grows over time.

You don’t need to be an author or techy: just a good idea, basic structure, and a sprinkle of AI magic.

I have several books on Amazon KDP and make a small, consistent monthly income. I’m about to write more because it’s a no-brainer and 100% totally passive once your books gain traction.

I created e-books first and then converted them to paperback versions. The next step is audio versions, which is an exciting development.

Why eBooks Are Brilliant for Passive Income

eBooks are an excellent way to share your knowledge, creativity, or personal experiences — and once created, they can earn you money around the clock.

Popular eBook ideas include:

  • Healthy family recipes
  • Parenting tips and routines
  • Self-care guides for busy mums
  • Printable activity books for kids
  • Budgeting and finance planners
  • Pregnancy journals or postpartum advice

Passive income with AI for mums becomes incredibly achievable when you package your knowledge into a digital product that sells itself.

Step #1: Come Up With eBook Ideas Using AI

If you’re unsure what to write about, ask ChatGPT to generate ideas based on your interests. For instance, you can say, “Give me 10 eBook ideas for mums who want to simplify life with young children.”

You’ll get instant ideas you can tweak to suit your style or audience.

Tools for eBook brainstorming:

  • ChatGPT – Ask for title ideas, chapter outlines, and niche topics
  • AnswerThePublic – Discover common questions your eBook can solve. This website is excellent for determining user intent.

Step #2: Write Your eBook with AI (Fast + Easy)

This section is where you save hours. Use SEOWriting.ai or ChatGPT to draft the chapters of your book based on an outline. By staying focused, you can create a 20-30 page guide in one weekend.

You don’t need to use the AI output precisely as it is. Always polish it up with your tone of voice and add personal stories or examples to make it unique. Make the writing warm and conversational. My tip is to imagine one person to write for.

AI writing tools for eBooks:

  • SEOWriting.ai – Great for long-form, structured content
  • ChatGPT – Great for ideas, content structure and content writing

Step #3: Design a Gorgeous eBook (Without Hiring a Designer)

Once your text is ready, design your eBook using Canva Pro, which has many beautiful e-book templates. Both platforms offer drag-and-drop templates that look professional. You can add images, pull quotes, icons, or even checklists.

Want a more styled look? Try Designrr — it automatically turns blog posts or Google Docs into eBooks, complete with a clickable table of contents. However, they aren’t suitable for Amazon KPD upload.

Design tools to explore:

  • Canva Pro – Easy eBook layouts and editable templates
  • Designrr – Converts your content to PDF or flipbooks
  • Systeme.ai – Great for lead magnets and short guides (get a free account)

design an ebook

Step #4: Sell Your eBook Online (No Website Needed)

You don’t need a fancy website to start selling. Use platforms like:

  • Beacons – Easy to set up & create a link-in-bio page
  • Gumroad – Great for beginners, no monthly cost
  • Payhip – UK-based and mum-friendly
  • ThriveCart – Ideal for upsells or future course sales
  • Systeme.io – All-in-one tool for funnels and email marketing

You can also market your eBook as a lead magnet (free download) to grow your email list first — and then promote other products or services later.

Pro Tip: Ask ChatGPT to write your sales page or product description!

Step #5:  Promote Your E-book on Autopilot

Once your eBook is live, let AI help promote it. Use Metricool or Repurpose.ai to share social posts across Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Threads. You can even turn your eBook into mini content pieces like carousels, reels, or blog posts.

You can also create Pinterest pins in Canva and schedule them using Tailwind to get long-term passive traffic.

Promotion tools to automate growth:

  • Metricool – Social media scheduling + analytics (open a free account)
  • Repurpose.ai – Turns content into multiple formats (open a free account)
  • Tailwind – Pinterest and Instagram automation
  • Pictory.ai – Create short videos from book content (open a free account)

Step #6:  Optional: Turn Your eBook Into More Income Streams

Here’s where it gets exciting. Once you’ve written one eBook, you can:

  • Turn it into a course with video lessons (use Synthesia.ai for AI presenters)
  • Create a bundle of printables or workbooks
  • Offer a paid email series based on the book (create an email campaign 100% free for up to 2,000 subscribers)
  • Use it as a lead magnet to sell affiliate products (create a free landing page for your lead magnet)

You’ve already done the hard work — now let it grow into multiple income streams.

You don’t need to be an author. You only need an idea and a few hours. Creating an eBook with AI is one of the most beginner-friendly ways to earn passive income with AI as a mum, and it can scale into so much more.

Imagine making sales while doing school runs, having coffee, or winding down for the evening. That’s the power of digital products — and AI makes it much easier to start.

Offer Freelance Services with AI

Offer Freelance Services with AI

Think you need years of experience to become a freelancer? Not anymore. With AI tools on your side, offering services online has never been easier — or faster. You can start with zero tech background, and still charge for services like blog writing, social media content, design, and more.

Though technically, freelancing isn’t passive, it can be lucrative. I’ve been a freelance SEO writer since 2020, and my rates have 10X during that period as I have proven my ability to get people’s content ranking on page one Google SERPs. I work part-time hours for a full-time income.

One way to make freelancing more passive is to hire a team (once you’re making money) and scale the business.

Whether you are nap-trapped with a toddler or looking for a flexible side hustle, freelance services with AI can give you the freedom to earn around your schedule.

What AI Can Help You Do as a Freelancer

The truth is, AI doesn’t replace you — it amplifies your skills. You’re still the creative brain behind your services, but the tools speed things up and take away the overwhelming parts.

In-demand services you can offer using AI:

  • Blog post and article writing
  • Instagram captions or carousels
  • Pinterest pin design + descriptions
  • Email newsletters
  • Social media scheduling
  • Voiceovers or video scripts
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Product descriptions for Etsy or Amazon

With the right tools, these jobs can go from hours to minutes — meaning more income in less time.

Idea #1: Become a Freelance Writer Using AI

No journalism degree required! AI tools like SEOWriting.ai and ChatGPT, and can help you write SEO-optimised blog posts, website copy, or newsletters in a fraction of the time.

Use AI to:

  • Write draft articles
  • Generate blog outlines
  • Optimise for SEO keywords
  • Repurpose blogs into Instagram posts or emails

Once you’ve edited the AI content with your voice and flair, it becomes YOUR polished service — ready to deliver.

AI tools for writing:

  • SEOWriting.ai – Great for SEO-optimised, long-form content
  • ChatGPT– For outlines, ideas, and rewording and writing articles
  • Grammarly – Edit and proofread for a professional finish

You might offer your freelance services on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, PeoplePerHour, or in Facebook groups for small business owners and bloggers. That said, it can be a race to the bottom on pricing.

The best way I’ve gained business is to approach local businesses with a pitch. Face to face business trumps any other way of getting business in my experience. Attend local networking groups and get yourself known.

Idea #2: Sell Social Media Content Packages

Small businesses need help with content — and you can offer that help using AI. Imagine creating a full month of Instagram posts in a single afternoon with AI support.

Your package might include:

  • 15–30 captions
  • Hashtag suggestions
  • Carousel content
  • Story ideas
  • Basic image templates in Canva

You can batch these in ChatGPT, polish them with your tone, and design posts in Canva Pro — ready to hand over to your clients.

AI tools to create social content:

  • ChatGPT – Generate posts, story hooks, carousel outlines
  • Metricool – Schedule content for multiple platforms (50 posts free/month)
  • Canva Pro – Design graphics and carousels
  • Copy.ai – Fun captions, hooks, and post ideas

Idea #3: Pinterest VA (Virtual Assistant) Services Using AI

Pinterest is still huge for bloggers, coaches, and ecommerce sellers. You can offer services like:

  • Pin design
  • SEO-rich pin descriptions
  • Scheduling via Tailwind
  • Monthly Pinterest account management

With AI tools, you can write keyword-rich pin descriptions that attract clicks and traffic — and batch design dozens of pins in under an hour.

AI tools for Pinterest services:

  • SEOWriting.ai – Write SEO-friendly pin titles + descriptions
  • ChatGPT – Generate ideas and repurpose content
  • Tailwind – Schedule pins across weeks or months
  • Canva – Create fresh, eye-catching pin graphics

This is a great niche if you already enjoy Pinterest yourself!

Idea #4: Voiceovers and Audio Content with AI

Voiceovers and Audio Content with AI

If you’re not camera-ready but love being creative, you can offer voiceovers using AI tools like ElevenLabs. These tools can mimic natural voice tones — or even clone your voice — to create:

  • Meditation narrations
  • Audiobook samples
  • Explainer videos
  • YouTube voiceovers

You don’t need a fancy mic or soundproof room — AI takes care of quality and tone.

Top AI voiceover tools:

  • ElevenLabs – Natural, realistic AI voices (including whisper tones!)
  • Murf.ai – Great for business or explainer content
  • Descript – Turn text into audio + video editor
  • Play.ht – Generate MP3s for clients

You can offer these services on Fiverr, PodMatch, or to small businesses needing digital content.

Idea #5: Email Newsletter Services with AI

Lots of businesses struggle to stay in touch with their audience — that’s where you come in. You can offer weekly or monthly newsletter writing services using SEOWriting.ai, ChatGPT, and Systeme.

Even better? Batch-create email templates using AI, then sell them as a service or digital product.

AI tools for email copywriting:

  • ChatGPT – Write nurturing sequences and subject lines
  • SEOWriting.ai – Format long-form content into friendly emails
  • Systeme.io – Set up automations and sequences (Free lifetime access)

Perfect for bloggers, coaches, or online shops who want to stay top-of-mind with their audience.

Idea #6: Design Printables and Digital Assets with AI

If you love being creative, offer a printable creation service for Etsy sellers, coaches, or teachers. You can use AI to:

  • Generate product ideas
  • Design in Canva
  • Write descriptions
  • Format lead magnets

Think: planners, worksheets, trackers, affirmation cards, budgeting templates.

Helpful tools for printable design:

  • Canva Pro – Design + template library
  • ChatGPT – Create prompts and structure
  • Designrr – Quickly convert to PDF or e-book formats
  • Creative Fabrica Spark – Generate AI graphics or illustrations

Once you’ve built a few, you can offer custom work — or sell your own templates on the side for extra passive income.

Offering freelance services with AI doesn’t mean you’re cheating — it means you’re working smarter. AI helps you launch, deliver, and grow your services even if you’re brand new, juggling nap times, or only have a few spare hours a week.

Start with what you’re naturally good at or enjoy doing. Then let AI handle the time-consuming bits so you can channel your energy on growing your income — and your confidence.

Final Thoughts: Why AI is a Mum’s Best Sidekick

In conclusion, the idea of building passive income with AI for moms might have seemed far-fetched a few years ago, but now it’s affordable, achievable, and realistic. With just a few hours a week (during nap time, school drop-offs, or early mornings), you can create assets that work for you 24/7.

The key is to start small, test one method, and use AI tools to reduce overwhelm and speed things up.

Above all, try not to do too many things at once. That was the mistake I made and soon found myself suffering from burnout. Focus on one passive income source at a time. There’s always a learning curve and you will find ways to save time without losing quality. That’s the beauty of AI tools, after all.

Whether it’s blogging, YouTube, Etsy, or digital products — your journey to AI-powered income starts with a single step.

Tips for YouTube Growth: How Top YouTubers Succeed (2025)

April 4, 2025

Last Updated on July 11, 2025 by Jan Barley

Tips for YouTube growth are abundant on the YouTube platform. Everybody seems to have an opinion about what works and what doesn’t. I started two channels recently and openly admit to being clueless. Of course, I figured I was OK at producing content – could be better – and my thumbnails were better than most and not as good as others.

I figured there must be hidden secrets that had nothing to do with the actual video production and more about being in the ‘know-how’. Well, I was right. The jury is still out on the following tips, but I 100% believe they will work. Still, as my channels are still VERY new and I’m finding it challenging to create as much video content as I’d like, it may take time.

That said, I have taken the tips for YouTube growth from performing channels that explicitly share content about improving YouTube results.

Growing a YouTube channel isn’t just about uploading videos and hoping for the best. The top creators know the secret to success is a mix of strategy, consistency, and understanding of how the platform works.

If you’re looking for tips for YouTube growth, this guide will break down precisely what successful YouTubers do—and how you can apply these strategies to your channel.

invideo

Find Your Niche & Stick to It

One of the biggest YouTube success strategies is having a clear niche. If you’re creating videos about gaming one day and fitness the next, your audience won’t know what to expect. Successful YouTubers pick a niche and dominate it.

That was my first rookie mistake for my Soulful Entrepreneur channel. I curated my blog content (which is successful and recently got approved for Journey by Mediavine) for this channel. Still, I realised that YouTube might find it challenging to understand my primary focus.

Although my content is evergreen (an essential factor for blogging and YouTube), I cover a myriad of subjects, such as:

  • SEO
  • YouTube
  • Blogging
  • Pinterest
  • Social Media
  • Digital Marketing
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Artificial Intelligence

Can you appreciate the dilemma? The subject matter is too scattered. I’ll keep going with it because I want to add the video content to my blogs, as it helps SEO and is more likely to engage readers to watch.

Conversely, I started a Simply Manifesting channel, which focuses 100% on everything to do with the law of attraction, and that’s a vast subject with endless opportunities for evergreen content.

This channel, I believe, stands more chance of gaining traction because the content subject is 100% transparent to the algorithm. That means it’s easier for YouTube to select a target audience when your video goes live.

So, when you choose a YouTube niche, consider the following questions:

  • How targeted can you make the content?
  • Are others having success within this niche?
  • Is it a subject you are knowledgeable about?
  • Can you create consistent, evergreen content?

In the next section is the overflowing pot of gold I recently discovered about tips and techniques for pre and post publishing. It’s a total gamechanger, I believe.

YouTube Tips for Growth: My Surprise Discovery

In this section, I will cover the nuts and bolts of pre- and post-publishing your video content, which can (apparently) make a significant difference if you stick to the protocol.

tips for youtube growth

Step One: Set Basic Information

Go to your channel, and on the left-hand side, click on ‘Settings’ and ‘Channel’.

Choose your country of residence and enter all the relevant tags for your video content in the ‘Basic Info’ box. It can also help to add top-performing competitor tags (the channel name). This section enables YouTube to understand your content; you only need to do this once.

youtube settings

Step Two: Naming Your Video & Thumbnail

Until I learned this YouTube growth tip, I didn’t bother naming my video and thumbnail file anything special. Big mistake!

Name your video and thumbnail relevant to your video content. For example, I recently uploaded a video about The Surprising Role of Self-Love in Mastering the Law of Attraction. Therefore, I named my video and thumbnail ‘The Role of self love in the Law of Attraction’.

Step Three: Hashtags

Add hashtags to your video description. After publishing, they appear at the top of the description. Again, it helps YouTube better understand your content.

Step Four: Adding Playlists

Adding a playlist to your YouTube description means that YouTube will show your content on the right-hand side of the video instead of someone else’s similar videos.

The last thing you want is for the watcher to click on another channel. Instead, let’s encourage them to binge-watch our content.

  • Go to ‘Manage Videos’
  • Click on ‘Content’
  • Click on ‘Playlists’
  • Hover the mouse over a playlist
  • Look for the three vertical dots
  • Hover over the dots & click on ‘Get shareable link’
  • Add that link to your video description

setting up youtube

I created an Excel document where I add all my playlist links so I can quickly copy and paste relevant playlists to new videos.

Step 5: Add an End Screen

Add an end screen when you are setting up the video before publishing. Choose one video and one subscribe.

Step 6: Scheduling YouTube Content

Instead of publishing instantly, schedule your video for at least 24 hours ahead. That gives the YouTube algorithm time to assess your video so it is better prepared to share it with the right audience.

Step 7: Watch Your Video

Watch your video before it goes live, several times at least. Apparently, that helps feed the algorithm.

I’ve only recently started applying these YouTube growth strategies, so it’s early days. I’m confident they will work if I can be consistent and find time to create more content.

For my Simply Manifesting channel, I use ElevenLabs text-to-audio software, sometimes using my cloned voice, as that saves me a lot of time bumbling around trying to record my voice without messing it up or the dog barking or farting in the middle of recording!

The Basics of YouTube Growth

We know we need to create good quality content, but the following might help if you are brand new to YouTube.

One day, my friend, you will be making an income from your YouTube channels, but for now, let’s focus on doing what needs to be done – the process and all that.

  1. Create Eye-Catching Thumbnails & Titles: A great video won’t matter if no one clicks on it! High click-through rate (CTR) YouTube strategies include:
    1. Using bold, readable text on thumbnails
    2. Expressive facial expressions if you’re on camera
    3. Creating curiosity-driven titles (e.g., “I Tried This for 30 Days… Here’s What Happened”)
    4. Avoid clickbait—your content should deliver what the title promises
  1. Optimise for YouTube SEO: YouTube is the world’s second-largest search engine, so video SEO techniques are essential. Here’s how to make your videos more discoverable:
    • Use the primary keyword in your title, description, and tags
    • Add keyword synonyms throughout your description and captions

Research high-ranking keywords with tools like TubeBuddy or VidIQ
For example, if I was creating a video of this article, instead of just using ‘tips for YouTube growth,’ I could use terms like “how to grow a YouTube channel”, “YouTube content strategy”, or “how to get more views on YouTube”.

  1. Keep Viewers Hooked With Great Editing: YouTube’s algorithm favours videos that keep people watching. Top YouTubers use audience retention techniques such as:
    • Engaging intros (hook viewers in the first 5 seconds)
    • Pattern interrupts (zoom-ins, text effects, sound effects, and B-roll footage)
    • Fast-paced editing to keep energy levels high
    • Storytelling elements to keep viewers engaged until the end
  1. Post Consistently (Without Burning Out): This aspect is tricky for beginners. It can take me a day or more to create a 5-15 minute video, so I can’t create as much video content as I want to. Consistency is key, but that doesn’t mean you have to post daily. Many top creators batch-create YouTube content, meaning they film multiple videos in one session and schedule them out. That keeps them ahead of schedule without feeling overwhelmed. A good posting schedule could be:
    • Once a week (quality over quantity)
    • Twice a week if you can maintain high-quality
    • Short-form videos (YouTube Shorts) to supplement longer content
  1. Engage With Your Audience: Building a community is as important as creating great videos. YouTube favours channels with high engagement, so focus on:
    • Replying to comments
    • Asking questions in your videos to encourage discussion
    • Creating polls and community posts
    • Going live to connect in real-time

The more engaged your audience is, the more YouTube will push your videos to new viewers.

Best YouTube Growth Software

I tried Tube Buddy and it made diddly squat difference to my channel. VidIQ has transformed the entire process for me.

Study YouTube Analytics & Keep Experimenting

Even the best YouTubers are constantly tweaking their strategy. Check your YouTube Studio analytics to see:

  • Which videos get the most watch time
  • Where viewers drop off (adjust your editing accordingly)
  • Which topics perform best (double down on what works)

Be Patient & Keep Improving Your YouTube Video Content

YouTube success doesn’t happen overnight. Many top creators spent years growing their YouTube channels before hitting it big. Stay consistent, keep improving your content, and focus on providing value.

Be aware that we are a results-driven species, and unless you accidentally hit the bullseye straight out of the gate, results will likely be feeble for a while. It’s easy to lose motivation when you get hardly any views and zero engagement. Still, keep going and tweaking your YouTube strategy. Instead of focusing on the goal (getting monetised and making a ton of money), focus on the process. Turn up, create valuable content and play the long game.

In conclusion, following these tips for YouTube growth will set you up for long-term success. From optimising your videos for search to keeping your audience slathering for more, these strategies will help you grow faster and build a loyal following.

The key is to stay consistent, and experiment with different formats, and, most importantly—have fun with the process!

Tell me, what’s your biggest struggle with YouTube growth?

FAQs

How Often Should I Upload My Videos To Grow My YouTube Channel?

Consistency is the most crucial element of YouTube growth. Aim for at least one high-quality video per week. Regularly uploading video content helps signal to the algorithm that you’re an active creator and builds trust with your audience.

What Are The Most Important Metrics To Track For YouTube Growth?

Watch time, click-through rate (CTR), audience retention, and engagement (likes, comments, shares) are crucial. These metrics tell YouTube your content is valuable, increasing your chances of being recommended.

What’s the Best Video Editing Software for Beginners?

I recommend CapCut. I tried other software and found them frustating. CapCut is easy to use. The interface is perfect for beginners as it’s mostly drag and drop. It has some great effects, sounds and lots of other great things to play with to wow your video content.

How Can I Improve Video Titles And Thumbnails To Get More Views?

Make sure titles are clear, curiosity-driven, and contain relevant keywords. Thumbnails should be visually striking with bold text and expressive faces or emotions to encourage clicks.

Do I Need Expensive Equipment To Grow On YouTube?

No! Many successful YouTubers get started with just a smartphone and natural light. Good audio and clear visuals matter most—invest in better gear gradually as your channel grows.

How Do I Get More Subscribers Organically?

Deliver value in every video, ask viewers to subscribe (with a reason), use end screens, and engage in the comments. Subscribers are more likely to come from content that solves a problem or inspires them.

Can Using SEO Really Help My Youtube Channel Grow?

Yes! YouTube is a search engine. Use relevant niche keywords in your titles, descriptions, and tags as that helps your videos appear in search and suggested content. Tools like TubeBuddy or VidIQ can help you optimize.
