Faceless Instagram Theme Pages: 9 Most Profitable Niches

October 24, 2024

Last Updated on April 24, 2025 by Jan Barley

Profitable faceless instagram theme pages

Start a faceless Instagram page in your chosen niche

Faceless Instagram theme pages can be one of the most profitable ways to make the most of social media marketing.

Above all, don’t be like me and post random content for months because you can’t be arsed to focus. It gets you nowhere fast.

Every niche has a hungry audience waiting. Creating dedicated faceless Instagram theme pages can lead to a loyal tribe of followers with their wallets open, lucrative deals, commissions and more.

What I like about faceless Instagram theme pages is you don’t need to create a personal brand. Thank gawd for that. Anything that makes life easier, right?

That is to say, you can hire a team of minions to help you create faceless content once you can afford it.

Choosing a Niche For Faceless Instagram Theme Pages

There are dozens of profitable faceless Instagram theme pages in multiple niches,. To clarify, choose one you have experience in and will enjoy creating content for or you will experience boredom or burnout.

The following are 9 of the most successful and lucrative faceless Instagram theme pages I have researched for successful faceless marketing on Instagram.

Niche #1: Personal Finance/Investing

Financial Instagram theme pages

If you’re a financial whizz kid, you could make a sizeable income from a faceless theme page

I’m a financial numpty. Consequently, I made ridiculous financial decisions my entire life. Moreover, I am not alone. Millions of people are financially clueless and desperate to learn how to make the most of their hard-earned cash.

Moreover, financial faceless Instagram theme pages are popular for influencers with a solid financial background, like financial advisors, accountants, etc.

Here are some income opportunities within this niche:

High-value Affiliate Programs

The financial sector is the golden goose if you want to make top commissions. Imagine getting $100-$500+ per qualified lead.

Trading platforms, investment apps, and credit card companies are cash cows, with some offering up to $1,000 per conversion. Many fintech companies and crypto exchanges have aggressive affiliate programs targeting Instagram audiences.

Warning Note: I spent three years writing for the crypto industry. Only choose reputable companies. Check Trustpilot ratings before applying for affiliate status.

In addition, Instagram has several banned hashtags in the financial sector, including #makemoneyonline.

Course Potential

Financial education courses can command premium pricing, typically $497-$2,997, depending on the depth and specialisation.

Above all, the most successful courses focus on specific niches like options trading, real estate investing, or cryptocurrency trading rather than general financial advice.

The key to course success is building a transformation journey for your audience. Start with free content showing basic concepts, then offer paid courses that dive deeper into advanced strategies.

Consulting Opportunities

Once you’ve built authority as a specialist in your niche, people will ask for one-to-one help. Financial consulting fees range from $200-$1,000+ per hour, depending on your reputation and depth of experience.

Many successful finance creators offer tiered consulting packages, starting with memberships or group coaching at lower prices ($97-$297/month) and scaling up to premium one-on-one sessions.

Ad Revenue from Financial Service Partnerships

Financial service companies have some of the highest marketing budgets, often paying $3,000-$10,000+ for a single sponsored post. Banks, investment platforms, and fintech startups constantly seek ways to reach younger audiences through trusted influencers on Instagram.

Building long-term partnerships is more profitable than one-off sponsored posts.

Niche #2: Fitness, Health & Wellness

fitness instagram theme page

The fitness industry is booming on social media platforms, including Instagram

Fitness faceless Instagram theme pages are becoming more popular. Look at Joe Wicks, who jumped to fitness stardom during Covid. He’s not doing anything your average fitness instructor is doing, but he stamped his mark on social media with almost 5 million followers.

Moreover, in the fitness, health and wellness niche, creators can tap into several lucrative income streams, mainly through authentic audience engagement and a deep understanding of their followers’ needs.

Here are some typical opportunities within this niche:

Supplement Partnerships

Fitness influencers often collaborate with supplement companies to promote protein powders, pre-workout formulas, or vitamins. These partnerships work well when the creator can demonstrate the benefits of using the supplements within their fitness routine.

Authentic reviews, testimonials, and practical content (like ‘What’s in my gym bag’ or daily nutrition vlogs) can enhance the promotion’s impact, driving affiliate sales or earning commission-based income.

Fitness is in big demand and many of these Instagram theme accounts do exceptionally well.

Start a fitness Instagram theme page and provide value to your followers.

Workout Program Sales

Many fitness creators generate revenue by selling customised workout programs tailored to various fitness levels, goals, and needs. These could range from beginner guides to advanced bodybuilding or home workout routines.

Leveraging Instagram’s content formats, influencers can use reels to showcase snippets of the workouts, carousels for step-by-step guidance, and stories to highlight client transformations and testimonials.

Personal Coaching

Offering one-on-one or group coaching is another lucrative option for fitness influencers. You can market coaching services to provide personalised guidance, accountability, and support in reaching their fitness or wellness goals.

Creators can leverage Instagram’s direct messaging features, stories, and live sessions to connect with potential clients, build relationships, and convert followers into paying customers.

Athletic Wear Sponsorships

Fitness influencers frequently collaborate with athletic wear brands to promote their latest collections, showcasing workout apparel and accessories.

These collaborations work best through paid partnerships, ambassadorships, or sponsored content when the influencer naturally incorporates the brand into their daily fitness routines.

Posting workout videos in the brand’s gear, tagging the company, and sharing discount codes in stories can effectively drive engagement and conversions.

Niche #3: Beauty & Skincare

beauty and skincare instagram theme pages

Beauty and skincare instagram theme pages are hugely popular with Instagram’s audience

In the beauty and skincare niche, content creators can capitalise on multiple revenue streams by aligning with brands, educating their audience, and leveraging their expertise with faceless Instagram theme pages.

Here’s an overview of the key opportunities:

Product Sponsorships

Beauty and skincare influencers often collaborate with brands to promote products such as makeup, skincare routines, or tools. These partnerships can take the form of sponsored posts, where creators receive payment to feature a product in their content, showcasing how it fits into their daily routine or solves a specific skin issue.

Authenticity matters—followers are likelier to engage and convert if the product is a natural fit for the influencer. Posting tutorials, product reviews, or before-and-after content helps build trust, making sponsorships highly effective in this niche.

Affiliate Marketing with Beauty Brands

By partnering with beauty brands for affiliate marketing, influencers can generate commissions for sales made through their unique referral links or discount codes.

This business model is particularly lucrative for beauty creators with a highly engaged audience. Share relatable content with reels, carousels, and stories, influencers can demonstrate product use, share honest reviews, and include direct links for followers to purchase.

Tutorial Monetisation

Beauty creators often monetise their tutorials through platforms like Instagram and YouTube, offering step-by-step guides on makeup looks, skincare routines, or product application tips.

With Instagram’s monetisation features, such as badges in live sessions and IGTV ads, creators can directly earn from sharing content. Moreover, tutorials can serve as an indirect sales tool, driving product sales through affiliate links or sponsorships mentioned within the tutorial.

High Engagement Rates Leading to Better Brand Deals

In the beauty industry, engagement rates are often more important than follower counts for landing high-paying brand deals. A creator with an engaged community—followers who consistently comment, share, and save posts—has a strong influence and can demand higher rates from beauty brands.

Beauty creators can increase engagement by consistently interacting with their audience through Q&As, polls, and personalised responses. Higher engagement makes influencers more attractive to brands seeking real influence over their target market, leading to better-paying sponsorships and long-term collaborations.

Niche #4: Pet Content

instagram pet theme pages

If you have a cute pet, consider starting a faceless Instagram pet theme page

The pet content niche is hugely popular. From talking pets to serious pet education, you can make a success of a pet-themed Instagram page with any pet—for example, dogs, cats, chinchillas, parrots, prairie dogs, and farm pets.

Creators can tap into a passionate audience of pet lovers, capitalising on various revenue streams that focus on cute animals and pet care advice.

Here are some opportunities within the pet niche:

Pet Product Partnerships

Pet influencers can partner with brands to promote pet food, toys, grooming supplies, or pet apparel. These partnerships range from sponsored posts showcasing the creator using the products with their pets to affiliate marketing.

Posting reels of pets enjoying the products or sharing reviews on their effectiveness helps create engaging and trust-building content that resonates with fellow pet owners.

Pet Care Services

Influencers in the pet niche can promote pet care services, offering advice on training, grooming, or health care through personalised coaching or affiliate deals with pet service providers.

Many pet content creators expand their monetisation by sharing guides, tutorials, and tips on various aspects of pet care. You can monetise through direct coaching, online courses, or collaborations with professional pet care services like veterinarians, trainers, or groomers.

High Engagement Rates

The pet community on Instagram tends to be highly engaged, with followers frequently liking, sharing, and commenting on posts, especially those featuring cute, funny, or heartwarming moments.

This high engagement makes pet influencers incredibly appealing to brands, as they can spark viral content and build strong relationships with their audience. By interacting with their followers through polls, pet-related Q&As, or challenges (like “Show us your pet’s best trick”), creators can increase their engagement, making them even more attractive to potential sponsors.

Family-Friendly Sponsorships

The pet niche appeals to a broad audience, including families and children, which opens the door for family-friendly sponsorships.

Brands that market products suitable for families, like home goods, car companies, or family vacation services, may collaborate with pet influencers to promote their products alongside pet-friendly messaging.

By emphasising the pet-friendly aspects of these brands, influencers can create fun, wholesome content that resonates with family audiences.

Niche #5: Food & Cooking

foodies Instagram theme page

Foodies Instagram theme pages are in demand. Share your faceless food and cooking content to an eager audience

In the food and cooking niche, creators can leverage their culinary skills and passion for food to build multiple income streams by connecting with their audience through engaging content and valuable partnerships.

Here are some ideas for income opportunities within this niche:

Kitchenware Partnerships

Food influencers often collaborate with kitchenware brands to promote cookware, appliances, utensils, and gadgets. These partnerships can involve sponsored posts showcasing the tools in action, such as cooking demonstrations, product reviews, or tutorials highlighting the benefits of using specific equipment.

By sharing their authentic experiences with the products and integrating them naturally into their content, creators build trust with their audience. That makes followers more likely to purchase through affiliate links, discount codes, or direct product promotions, resulting in steady income streams from brand partnerships.

Recipe Book Sales

Don’t underestimate the demand for recipes. One story I heard (I can’t remember the details) was about a lady selling a $3 recipe who made $250k in her first few months.

You can promote recipe books through engaging reels or carousel posts showcasing featured dishes and behind-the-scenes content on the creation process. Share previews of free recipes with followers to drive interest and sales. The appeal of owning a collection of the creator’s best dishes can create long-term revenue and deepen audience loyalty.

You could give away a recipe book as a lead magnet, build your email marketing list and have a willing audience for future product sales.

Cooking Course Revenue

Selling cooking courses is a high-revenue opportunity for food influencers. Through pre-recorded tutorials, live cooking sessions, or comprehensive multi-week courses, creators can offer their audience a chance to learn new skills, master recipes, or improve their cooking techniques.

Instagram provides the perfect platform to showcase snippets of course content, success stories from participants, and behind-the-scenes footage to generate interest. You can market cooking courses through Instagram reels, stories, and posts, with direct links to the course platform.

Restaurant Collaborations

Food influencers can collaborate with restaurants to promote new menu items, review dishes, or showcase the restaurant experience.

Faceless influencers post photos, videos, or live stories while dining at the restaurant, giving their followers an authentic view of the experience.

My niece and her partner are foodies who travelled across Australia for eight months, sharing their journey on social media. They did not pay for meals as they live-reviewed every restaurant they visited. These foody partnerships can lead to long-term relationships and recurring restaurant brand deals.

Niche #6: Motivation and Inspiration

motivational Instagram theme pages

Motivational and inspirational Instagram theme pages get a huge following

Sharing inspirational content and motivational content helps uplift a broad audience. People crave daily encouragement and will follow pages that share positivity, personal growth and empowerment content that resonates.

Here are some ideas for opportunities within this niche:

Self-Development Product Partnerships

Motivational influencers can collaborate with brands focusing on self-development products, such as journals, planners, affirmation cards, or apps for mental well-being.

These partnerships typically involve sponsored posts where creators share how these tools have positively impacted their routines or mindsets.

E-book Sales

Influencers in the motivation and inspiration niche can create and sell e-books focused on personal growth topics like goal-setting, building self-confidence, overcoming procrastination, or achieving balance in life.

You can promote e-books through content highlighting key takeaways or excerpts shared via reels, carousels, or Instagram stories on your faceless Instagram theme pages. Additionally, creators can share testimonials from readers who have benefited from the book, driving more sales.

Motivational Speaking and Coaching

Many motivational influencers expand their brand by offering coaching services or public speaking engagements. One-on-one coaching, group coaching programs, or workshops can be highly valuable for followers seeking personalised guidance on mindset shifts, goal-setting, or life planning.

Instagram live sessions, stories, and Q&As showcase a creator’s expertise and encourage followers to sign up for coaching or attend events.

Course or Membership Program Revenue

Motivational influencers can create online courses or membership programs offering in-depth guidance on personal development topics. Courses might focus on building resilience, finding your purpose, or building a positive mindset.

By offering exclusive content, motivational challenges, creators can provide added value through a membership platform. Promoting these programs through engaging posts, testimonials, and success stories can lead to consistent income from dedicated followers eager to invest in self-growth.

Brand Collaborations with Inspirational Messages

Brands looking to position themselves as purpose-driven often collaborate with motivational influencers to promote their products in a positive, inspiring light. These collaborations could range from clothing brands promoting messages of empowerment (e.g., “You Are Enough” apparel) to wellness companies focusing on holistic health.

Motivational influencers can align their content with the brand’s values by sharing uplifting messages, success stories, and personal growth experiences.

Niche #7: Luxury/Lifestyle

luxury lifestyle instagram theme pages

Share your luxury lifestyle content on an instagram theme page and watch the sales roll in

The luxury/lifestyle niche attracts a highly aspirational audience, focusing on showcasing an affluent lifestyle, premium products, and exclusive experiences.

Monetisation in this space involves aligning with high-end brands and offering followers a glimpse into a luxurious way of living.

Be aware that this audience can smell whether you’re faking it, so be authentic from the offset. Show the transformation rather than the end goal.

Here are some ideas for opportunities within this niche:

High-End Brand Collaborations

Luxury lifestyle influencers often collaborate with premium brands across sectors like fashion, beauty, home decor, and automobiles. These partnerships typically involve sponsored content where creators showcase the brand’s high-end products aspirationally and elegantly.

Influencers might feature designer clothing, luxury watches, or high-tech gadgets in beautifully curated reels, carousel posts, or stories, all emphasising exclusivity and quality.

Travel Partnerships

Faceless influencers in the luxury lifestyle niche frequently partner with luxury hotels, resorts, and travel companies to promote exclusive destinations and travel experiences.

These partnerships may involve fully sponsored trips, where influencers share content about their lavish accommodations, fine dining, or unique travel experiences. Reels showcasing stunning locations, behind-the-scenes travel details, and tips for luxury travel can captivate followers.

Luxury lifestyle influencers often monetise through affiliate programs with high-end fashion brands, earning commissions when their followers purchase designer clothing, accessories, or footwear through their referral links.

Creators can promote these affiliate links by sharing daily looks, styling tips, and fashion hauls featuring luxury brands. Instagram’s shopping features, stories with swipe-up links, and posts with product tags make it easy for followers to shop directly from the influencer’s profile.

Premium Product Placement Opportunities

Brands targeting affluent consumers partner with luxury influencers for product placement opportunities.

These could range from placing premium home decor in the background of lifestyle photoshoots to featuring high-end tech gadgets in a luxurious setting. Influencers might also receive luxury cars, watches, or beauty products in exchange for featuring them prominently in their posts or videos.

This niche thrives on aspirational content, which allows influencers to align with brands that value luxury and exclusivity, ultimately leading to high-income opportunities.

Niche #8: Mental Health & Self Care

mental health and self care instagram theme pages

Many psychologists and psychotherapists have started successful health and self care instagram theme pages

Faceless Instagram themes pages work well for this niche because there’s less distraction from a personal brand.

In the mental health and self-care niche, creators promote wellness, emotional balance, and self-care practices to help their audience improve their mental health and overall well-being.

Monetisation in this niche comes from offering valuable content and resources and partnering with brands that align with personal well-being.

Here are some proven income opportunities in this niche:

Wellness Brand Partnerships

Mental health influencers often collaborate with wellness brands focusing on products like meditation apps, aromatherapy, calming teas, or mental health-focused journals.

These partnerships involve sponsored posts where creators share how these products help them maintain balance and mental well-being. Whether through reels featuring daily mindfulness practices or carousel posts explaining the benefits of certain products, influencers can authentically connect with their audience, promoting brands that resonate with a self-care lifestyle.

E-Book or Self-Care Guide Sales

Many mental health influencers create and sell e-books or guides focused on mindfulness practices, coping mechanisms for stress, emotional self-care routines, or mental health journaling techniques.

Promote the resources through engaging content that previews what followers will find in the e-book. Reels showcasing morning self-care routines or carousels with snippets of advice can drive interest and sales.

Online Courses and Workshops

Mental health influencers can create and sell online courses or host workshops on managing anxiety, practising mindfulness, building self-compassion, or developing positive habits.

These courses can be pre-recorded sessions or live, interactive workshops. Instagram is an ideal platform to promote these offerings through educational reels, stories sharing tips or testimonials from previous participants, and Q&A sessions.

Therapy and Counseling App Partnerships

Influencers in the mental health niche can collaborate with therapy or counselling apps, which are becoming increasingly popular. These partnerships promote platforms connecting users with licensed therapists or offering mental health resources.

Influencers might share their experiences with these apps, highlighting the convenience and accessibility of online therapy. Promoting therapy platforms aligns naturally with mental health content, and influencers often earn commissions through affiliate programs or ongoing collaborations with the apps.

Mental Health Merchandise

Some influencers create and sell branded mental health or self-care merchandise, such as affirmation cards, calming candles, wellness kits, or clothing with positive messages.

These products can be promoted through Instagram reels, product posts, and stories, showcasing their use in daily self-care routines. Merchandise promoting positive mental health tends to resonate well with audiences, leading to income and brand building.

Subscription-Based Content

Mental health influencers can offer exclusive, in-depth content through membership programs. Followers pay monthly for access to guided meditations, mental health workshops, or personalised self-care plans.

This unique niche allows creators to build trust and loyalty with their audience by offering genuine, helpful content, leading to multiple monetisation avenues focusing on improving mental and emotional well-being.

Niche #9: Artificial Intelligence

artificial intelligence instagram theme pages

Artificial intelligence instagram theme pages are a unique niche on Instagram with a loyal following

Love it or loathe it, artificial intelligence is here to stay. Creators can leverage their knowledge of AI technologies, trends, and applications to build multiple income streams. Monetisation in this space often involves educating an audience eager to learn about cutting-edge AI developments, tools, and opportunities.

Here are key ways to generate income from the AI niche:

Tech and Software Brand Partnerships

AI faceless influencers collaborate with companies that develop AI-driven products, tools, or platforms. These partnerships may involve promoting AI software such as machine learning platforms, AI-powered automation tools, or advanced analytics software.

Sponsored posts can include product reviews, tutorials, or case studies showcasing the value of these AI technologies in real-world applications.

AI Course and Webinar Sales

Many AI influencers create and sell online courses or host webinars to teach AI concepts, programming, and real-world applications. These courses could cover machine learning, natural language processing, AI ethics, or coding AI algorithms in Python.

Reels or carousel posts sharing AI insights, snippets of course content, or success stories from past students can drive course sign-ups.

AI Tools and Software Affiliate Programs

AI creators often earn commissions through affiliate programs with software companies that offer AI-related products or services. Faceless influencers can promote AI tools like chatbot builders, data analysis platforms, or cloud-based machine learning environments, providing their audience with tutorials, use cases, and demos.

Sharing affiliate links through posts, stories, or educational content is a great way to build trust and encourage followers to try the software, driving conversions and earning ongoing commissions from software purchases or subscriptions.

Consulting Services for Businesses

Many AI Instagram influencers offer consulting services to businesses looking to integrate AI into their operations. These consulting services could range from helping companies implement AI automation, design machine learning models, or optimise AI-driven marketing strategies.

Promoting these services through Instagram stories, live Q&As, and case studies can attract businesses seeking expertise.

AI-Focused E-book or Guide Sales

Create and sell e-books or guides on a multitude of artificial intelligence topics, including future AI trends.

Consider using limited-time discounts or sneak peeks into the guide. It can drive interest and sales, and create a passive income stream.

AI Startup and Product Reviews

Partner with AI startups or established companies to review and promote their latest AI innovations.

These partnerships can be very profitable. AI companies value the credibility and expertise that AI influencers bring to their followers.

Subscription-Based Premium AI Content

Influencers can offer exclusive AI-related content through monthly subscription platforms like Patreon or Skool. Followers get access to premium AI content.

A subscription model creates a recurring revenue stream . Provide personalised, value-added content such as project feedback, advanced courses, or behind-the-scenes looks at AI developments.

Other Instagram Theme Page Niches

  • Home Decor & Interior Designs: share design tips and record DIY home improvement projects. Collaborate with interior designers and home décor brands for affiliate commissions.
  • DIY & Crafts: I followed one pastel pencil artist, Bonny Snowdon, for some years. In late 2024, she posted that she’d made more than $1 million from her art tutorials, brand deals, etc. Monetise with memberships, brand deals, sponsored posts and partnerships with craft suppliers.
  • Fashion & Style: Share style inspiration, fashion tips and trendy outfits on your Instagram theme page. Collaborate with clothing companies, designers and fashion brands for generous affiliate commissions.
  • Education & Learning: There are many faceless Instagram theme pages in this growing niche. Everyone is considering alternatives after getting shoved out of work by a robot. Digital products are the buzz for the foreseable future.
  • Business & Entrepreneurship: similarly to the educational niche, monetise with course sales, consulting services, high-ticket coaching programs and B2B partnerships.

Best Instagram Tools to Automate for Success

There’s no getting around that posting on Instagram every day is bloody exhausting. Reels, posts and stories? Where the heck do you draw the line? I’m fast learning that automation is the way to prevent burnout so you don’t lose your Instagram mojo. So, the following are a few of the recommended AI tools to help you progress faster.

Eleven Labs: Text-to-Audio

This fantastic ai software seamlessly creates text-to-audio. You can create 10 minutes/month for free but I’d advise the (very low cost) starter plan because you can clone your own voice simply by uploading a short audio clip of you talking. That saves hours of work and editing.

I’ve been using my cloned voice for video content on one of my YouTube channels. It saves hours!

😊 Get a FREE ElevenLabs Trial

Pictory: Text-to-Video

Creating video is not a fast exercise. I create faceless content but the process of recording the screen, editing the video, adding and editing captions, music, images etc can take an age to complete. Pictory.ai is text-to-video ai generation software that is relatively low-cost and perfect to create reels quickly.

😊 Try Pictory for FREE

Uppbeat: Royalty-Free Music

The last thing you want is to get a music copyright restriction on Instagram, because that could lead to a whole heap of trouble. Uppbeat has a vast selection of music genres and an AI section, too. I have a paid account and it is very affordable. I download lots of music for video content.

Synthesia: Text-to-Video

Another excellent text-to-video ai-generation. Synthesis has an excellent reputation. You can test it out and get a free video by clicking on the link below.

😊 Try Manychat for FREE

Conclusion

In summary, faceless Instagram theme pages are the way to go to stand a chance of success on Instagram. The platform is heavily focused on advertising and reach has declined. Niched theme pages are the only ones getting engagement.

Building a highly engaged audience is the key to maximising profitability in any niche. To clarify, consistently create valuable content for your target market. Focus on authentic partnerships and build credability by avoiding promoting any products or services you doubt.

From the offset, start building an email list. Instagram is like every other social media platform; occasionally, the algorithm randomly shuts down accounts. Protect your business and income by getting your followers off the platform and onto your subscriber list.

Create a content calendar for multiple formats (Reels, Stories & Single Image Posts). Meanwhile, ask ChatGPT to create a content calendar based on successful faceless Instagram theme pages in your niche.

Finally, I must remind you that enjoying your niche is essential. Above all, it’s hard work creating content; if you don’t love what you do, you will eventually tire of it.

Google Updates: What To Do if They Are Killing Your Blog

October 17, 2024

Last Updated on April 24, 2025 by Jan Barley

google updates

Pinterest & YouTube Can Become Your Best Traffic Sources With a Consistent Content Strategy

Google Updates – are they killing your blog?

Since the “Helpful” Content update in September 2022, Google began increasing the update frequency.

We all thought it was a blip and, in time, would sort itself out, but it caused many websites to decline to the point that people gave up.

The August (2024) update caused significant volatility 😒

Initially, there were huge spikes, and everyone got excited their website had taken off.

“Order the yacht, Sammy.”

“Yes, sir, shall I book the Bentley, too?”

Then, traffic plunged like a big fat fish off Niagra Falls.

Dismally, we all watched our hard-earned traffic descending faster than the speed of a politician submitting their monthly expenses.

Now, it’s like Google can’t make its mind up.

Even the “experts” are expressing dismay.

Read:  ChatGPT Prompts for SEO: An Effective Way to Rank Content

What the Heck Does Google Want?

The truth is that what Google tells us it wants is often the furthest from what it actually wants.

SEO experts like me can handle that, just about. But if you have limited SEO experience and keep doing the same things, getting your blog content to rank is becoming more challenging.

It’s a hard enough job for bloggers to keep coming up with fresh ideas, researching evergreen topics, keyword research, semantics, images, publishing and updating aged content.

Then Google updates undo your hard work. Google repeatedly twiddles with the algorithms, so everybody gets confused about how to get their bloody content to rank.

I’m an SEO writer. I know the types of content that google loves, regardless of the updates.

My content ranks on featured snippets & page one. Still, from the last few updates, I began thinking Google might not be a reliable source of traffic long-term.

In addition, the new AI feature that gives you an instant answer is not half bad.

I’m ashamed to admit that I use this AI feature for snippets of information I need or to help formulate a paragraph when my brain refuses to cooperate.

And I bet I’m not alone.

I began exploring additional search engines and focused on Pinterest.

I took two courses on Pinterest marketing, SEO & pin design.

Start A Pinterest Marketing Strategy

Pinterest is a search engine – it’s a slow burn but 100% worth the effort.

6-12 months of consistent pinning & you’ll have a solid traffic source.

Many people I talk to on IG Threads make a full-time income from a Pinterest strategy.

It will 100% send traffic to your website if you curate blog posts or YouTube content that address your audience’s problems.

I curate every blog post I write by pinning it on Pinterest.

My enthusiasm for Pinterest, led me to make a couple of simple mistakes in June and lost my first Pinterest account ☹. I was heartbroken when Pinterest deactivated my account. I’d spent months building it up, and I was at 9k monthly views and getting outbound links and saves.

It’s impossible to speak with a human on Pinterest. When you submit appeals, the responses come from a bot. The challenge is you can’t get into your Pinterest account to correct the mistakes.

I made four appeals. Nothing worked. So, I opened a new account.

Before opening a Pinterest account, please read the article about my Pinterest suspension, what I did wrong and what we should do. The post has the link to Pinterest Community Guidelines, which I suggest you read before pinning.

When you’re ready to get started, I have a low-cost offer for 60 Pinterest pin templates. These are based on the training I did on the Pinterest pin design course.

I also recommend a couple of free Pinterest courses.

Make YouTube Your Third Traffic Source

YouTube is another powerful search engine, and it’s entirely possible to succeed with a faceless account.

Curate your blog content to YouTube because Google is big into video.

That’s my intention when I can get over my procrastination hump.

Take your top-performing blog content – page one ranking and snippets – and create video content. Check the top videos on Google and create better content.

If you don’t have articles ranking on page one, check what position they rank and select the ones highest. Open a free Ubersuggest account to check these statistics.

Use SEO keywords in the YouTube descriptions and add your website link so people can read the article if they wish. That acts as a powerful backlink for your website.

Social Media Marketing vs Search Engine Marketing

I’m implementing a social media marketing strategy, working through Catalyst Collective, an Instagram business growth program with an ex-Meta executive.

The training is fantastic for any business that wants to grow from social media marketing. Still, my long-term goal is to focus 85% on search engine marketing.

Search engine marketing is less stressful & time-consuming. Plus, if you use the 3-pronged approach I suggest, you can create a consistent, long-term source of income.

I started social media marketing during April 24. Honestly, it’s been a vertical learning curve. I understand platforms like LinkedIn, but TikTok – a virtual lunatic asylum – and Instagram baffled me, especially Instagram Stories.

The algorithms change so frequently on these platforms that nobody can keep up.

Instagram randomly bans hashtags but doesn’t tell you about it. You suddenly get an account restriction or ban. Check MetaHashTags to find banned tags. For instance, “make money online” is a banned hashtag.

A gazillion people on Instagram are pushing the “make money online” business, so that’s tricky.

Conclusion

Every business relies on a regular traffic source. If nobody is viewing your website, making a consistent income is tricky.

Google updates will continue to disrupt traffic. That’s a given.

Get your own back on Google by building a Pinterest and YouTube strategy. Both platforms will drive traffic to your website and help push your content higher.

In addition, you can eventually monetise your YouTube channel and promote digital products, courses, memberships, affiliate products and more on top of money from ad revenue.

Start now, build and scale and within 12 months, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.

I wish I’d started years ago.

ChatGPT Prompts for SEO: An Effective Way to Rank Content

October 16, 2024

chatGPT SEO prompts

ChatGPT or other generative AI platforms can help beginners create a powerful SEO strategy

ChatGPT prompts for SEO blog writing save me hours of work each week. Where I used to spend considerable time researching keywords and semantics, I now use generative AI like ChatGPT and Claude AI.

The best ChatGPT prompts for SEO I’m sharing today is only two sentences, but the results you will get from it are spectacular.

Most new bloggers want to know how to use ChatGPT for SEO keyword research. After all, the generative AI doesn’t connect to a live feed. ChatGPY prompts for content writing are becoming more popular, but add in a ChatGPT SEO tool and you’re firing on all cyclinders.

Here’s a quick & easy way to SEO optimise your articles for keyword semantics using generative AI like ChatGPT

ChatGPT SEO Prompt Results

Are ChatGPT prompts for content writing any good?

After inputting the ChatGPT SEO prompt, you will get a helpful selection of keywords to use with your article. The following list is an example of what to expect from this two-sentence ChatGPT SEO prompt.

Primary Keywords

When planning an article, having multiple primary keyword choices gives you options to write more content.

A primary keyword is the specific keyword for your content, but most people don’t realise that you can rank for dozens of other keywords in your articles.

Secondary Keywords

You want at least 4-5 secondary keywords to help build out your content so that the Google bots quickly grasp what your article is about.

I used to only do one primary keyword and a handful of secondary keywords before discovering the benefits of the following on-page SEO options.

Long-Tail Keywords

Primary and secondary keywords may be one or two words. Long-tail keywords are more like search phrases, short sentences that someone would type into the Google search box.

These keywords are often typically less competitive and may have lower search volume than primary and secondary keywords. They may have a higher conversion rate, so you stand a better chance of ranking.

I always use long-tail keywords and attribute them to getting most of my content on page one SERPs and top featured snippets.

Long-tail keywords are helpful for building an FAQ section at the end of your articles.

Questions To Target For Search Intent

If you use Answer the Public, it gives you an overall view of search intent. These days, search intent is king for ranking content. Knowing your target audience’s questions enables you to centre your content around that search intent.

Geographical Variations For Local SEO

If you want local customers, you must focus on local SEO. ChatGPT prompts for SEO like this one, provides these terms, for example, “Where can I buy X in (location)?”

Related Terms (Industry-Specific Phrases)

Your niche, whatever it is, will have multiple industry-specific phrases that you can use within your content. Again, much like all of these examples, it helps Google bots quickly understand the context of your article.

Semantic Variants (Synonyms & Phrases)

SEO software like SurferSEO springboard their SEO success by identifying an impressive list of synonyms and phrases relative to the primary keyword and title.

Within this prompt, you can specify the number of semantics you require. If you want high numbers of semantics, I suggest asking ChatGPT to list them alphabetically because some won’t be relevant.

chatGPT SEO prompts

Adding keyword semantics builds out your articles to make it easier for Google bots to understand context and authority

LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) Keywords

Latent semantic indexing keywords differ from synonyms, even though they’re still words and phrases relative to your primary keyword. LSI keywords help the bots understand the intent of your article.

If your article was about the benefits of a Keto diet, LSI keyword examples could be “blood sugar,” “ketogenesis,” and “high protein.”

Don’t worry too much about LSI keywords because ChatGPT will give you the answer with this prompt.

Keyword Variations With Adjectives

We use descriptive keyword modifiers, particularly in titles and headings. Sprinkle them into your content, too.

For example, for an article about Pinterest courses, a descriptive modifier would be “best Pinterest courses,” affordable Pinterest courses and “free Pinterest courses.”

Keyword modifiers work because browsers often use them in searches.

Competitive Keywords

One of the tasks I do when working on a new article is finding the top competitor in SERPs. I then paste the content into ChatGPT or Claude and ask the generative AI to pull out the keywords in that content.

ChatGPT prompts for SEO, like this two-sentence one, don’t give you a comprehensive list of competitive keywords, but it’s a good starting point when combined with all the elements from this SEO prompt.

Save Hours On Keyword Research

This sweet prompt saves me hours and hours of work researching keyword semantics, and it costs me nothing 😎

I can genuinely say this SEO AI prompt has helped cut my content creation process down by at least two hours per article. In addition, I don’t invest in expensive SEO software. Even though they all work well, you can anticipate spending $99+ to use SEO software.

THE PROMPT

“You are an SEO expert and writing an article about <insert article subject or your primary keyword>. Please provide keyword semantics for this article.”

Thank me later, because this prompt is the bees flipping knees.

If you don’t understand the power of keyword semantics, layering them into your article helps the bots understand the context, which builds topical authority and increases the chance of ranking.

I added around 35 keyword semantics to a client’s article this morning. It will be their first published blog post, and I am confident it will rank well.

Why?

Because I have written SEO content for four years and have got clients’ content consistently on page one without fail.

Without using expensive SEO tools, my site has 574 organic ranking keywords (within six months), which, according to Ubersuggest (a free SEO tool by industry-recognised SEO expert, Neil Patel), is “Great” 😀

I have 77 published articles (Oct 24). Many rank page-one SERPs within 48 hours, and I have multiple top-featured snippets.

Articles I wrote for ex-clients in 22/23 still rank on page one.

I am the hidden, introverted gem who hasn’t shouted enough from the rooftops about my skills, enjoyment and passion for playing the SEO game and winning the Google first prize.

I’m doing a bit of rooftop shouting now as I’m ready to take on a couple more lovely clients.

Is ChatGPT Content Good for SEO?

Never post ChatGPT content directly from copy and paste. It’s essential to use the ChatGPT content ONLY as a framework to build out your articles.

Most importantly, always use a plagiarism checker. Most times, ChatGPT plagiarises content. I edit my articles with Grammarly Premium and ChatGPT ALWAYS has at least 2-3% plagiarism.

Use ChatGPT to help with brainstorming. Starting an article from scratch is hard work. If you have a bit of copy from ChatGPT, your brain can better anchor onto the articles theme. After that, it becomes easier to start writing.

I know some people publish directly from ChatGPT content, but I advise against that practice. Don’t be lazy. This prompt saves hours, so why skimp on publishing quality content?

Conclusion

Test out this two-sentence SEO prompt. I am confident you will love the results.

Combine all the keywords and semantics into each article, and you should see them ranking in SERPs much faster than usual.

Faceless Digital Marketing: An In-Depth Guide to Getting Started

faceless digital marketing

Faceless Digital Marketing is Becoming a Popular Choice for Social Media Influencers

Faceless digital marketing has taken social media platforms by storm. Today, brands and influencers dominate social media with faceless content, and it’s working.

It’s challenging to imagine making a 6-7 figure income without ever showing your face, but for many faceless marketers, that’s the reality.

Imagine building a six-figure income from the comfort of your home, all while maintaining complete privacy. Faceless digital marketing makes this dream possible, offering a golden opportunity for introverts like you and me and those who prefer to let their content creation speak for themselves.

However, it’s not easy to build a faceless brand. There are some nuances to understand so you position yourself in a way that generates engagement and builds trust with your audience.

This article is a step-by-step guide to launching a faceless digital marketing business from the comfort of your home.

What is Faceless Digital Marketing?

Suppose you’re scrolling through Instagram or TikTok and come across a profile that’s absolutely killing it. The account has thousands of followers, tons of engagement, and genuinely helpful content. But here’s the kicker – you have no idea who’s behind it because the person never shows their face.

Faceless marketing is about letting your content do the talking. It’s all about creating value-packed posts, videos, and graphics that your audience can’t resist. It’s about substance over style, focusing on what really matters to your followers.

Whether you’re sharing mind-blowing marketing tips, serving up mouthwatering recipes, or dishing out life-changing productivity hacks, your identity stays under wraps while your content takes centre stage.

Faceless Marketing Niche Ideas and Examples

Niche selection in faceless branding is vital.

Many people think that the make money online niche is the best one to start, but social media platforms, like Instagram, are not supportive. Indeed, Instagram has banned #makemoneyonline.

Check the MetaHashTags website for banned hashtags.

The FTC is also clamping down on income claims content, and that suggests making money is easy.

The following are some popular niches for faceless digital marketing:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Tech Updates: Share the latest in AI and tech, including tutorials and tips on using new applications.
  • Home Decor and DIY: Showcase home improvement ideas and interior design inspiration using user-generated content, stock images, and AI-generated visuals.
  • Education: Create content on personal finance, coding, or language learning through infographics and tutorial videos.
  • Food and Recipes: Post mouthwatering food photos, recipes, and cooking tips without showing the chef.
  • Mental Health and Wellness: Offer mental health advice and support through calming visuals, self-care tips, and motivational content. There are some super popular psychology channels on Instagram.
  • Pets: People love pet channels. Once you gain a lot of followers, you may get brand deals for pet products. Focus on one species, such as dogs.
  • Travel: Post photos and videos of global destinations, along with travel tips and itineraries, all without showing who’s behind the camera.

Benefits of Going Faceless

I went faceless after developing an unexplained rash on my face and neck that lasted for several months.

When I was creating face-forward content, I found it hugely stressful and time-consuming. Faceless digital marketing significantly reduces the stress often associated with personal branding.

When you market anonymously, you avoid the public attention and audience biases that come with having a face-forward brand.

Going faceless preserves mental well-being and allows you to experiment and pivot your strategies without the fear of personal judgment (the trolls come out when you gain a bit of success) or brand dilution.

  • Privacy and Anonymity: In the age where keyboard warriors are rampant, faceless marketing protects your identity and personal space.
  • Scalability: You can scale your faceless brand faster
  • Focus on Content Quality: Instead of spending hours tidying your hair, covering a spot and getting out of your bag lady clothes, you can focus 100% on creating valuable content.
  • You’re Not Limited to a Personal Brand: It’s much easier to pivot a niche with faceless marketing without causing a massive disruption in your marketing strategy.

Strategies for Faceless Branding Success

Faceless accounts need a bit more work on strategy planning.

Step 1: Choose a Niche: Pick a theme that doesn’t rely on personal branding. Think of evergreen subjects or specific hobbies with dedicated followers.

Step 2: Embrace Technology: Use AI tools for voice generation in videos and auto-captioning apps to create polished content without showing your face. Here’s a few ideas –

  • CapCut: Free video editing software for effects and adding captions.
  • Canva: A popular graphic design platform for creating reels, stories, images – anything that needs graphic design.
  • Pictory AI: A fantastic platform for text-to-video creation.
  • Eleven Labs: Text-to-speech and AI voice generator.
  • Repurpose: Use this AI-generated content platform to curate your content across platforms effortlessly.

Step 3: Prioritise Quality: Focus on creating valuable, high-quality content. Leverage AI and editing software to enhance your visuals and written material. Making fewer high-quality posts a week is better than publishing 2-3 low-quality posts daily.

Step 4: Master SEO: Learn and apply SEO best practices for each social media platform. For instance, Instagram prioritises SEO keywords more than hashtags. Do keyword research, optimise your content, and build quality backlinks to boost organic traffic.

Step 5: Curate Content: Make the most of platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and Threads. Create eye-catching visuals, use relevant hashtags, and tap into trending topics. Repurpose is excellent for curating content effortlessly.

Step 6: Automate Where Possible: Content creation is time-consuming. Use scheduling and social media automation tools to post content consistently without the manual work.

Step 7: Diversify Income Streams: Explore different ways to monetise your content, such as affiliate marketing, selling digital products, or incorporating ad revenue. These income-generating methods work well with anonymous accounts.

Applying these simple strategies allows you to build a successful faceless digital marketing presence that grows and generates income over time.

Creating Faceless Content is More Time Efficient & Less Stressful Than Being on Camera

Implementing Faceless Digital Marketing

Looking at the bigger picture before starting your faceless digital marketing journey is essential.

What is your end goal? What’s the timeframe, and what steps do you take to reach the goal?

Unless you have a personal account, most people start a faceless account with the plan to monetise it. So, let’s explore the monetisation opportunities.

How to Monetise Faceless Digital Marketing

Creating and selling digital products is 100% possible with faceless marketing. You can still build trust with your audience so they are happy to buy your products.

There is enormous potential for faceless monetisation for every imaginable niche.

  • AI Prompts: Focus on a niche. I am creating AI prompts for writing SEO, etc.
  • Digital Planners: There are no limitations for ideas. Make them customisable.
  • Diet Plans, Recipes & Nutrition Guides: These are super popular, and you can link to food blogs.
  • Workout Planner: Help people stay accountable for their fitness regime.
  • Content Calendar: Create niche-specific planners.
  • Website Templates: Create them on Squarespace, Canva, etc.
  • Social Media Templates: For example, I create Pinterest pin templates.
  • E-Book Templates: These save people a ton of time. ‍

There are loads more ideas. Research and use your imagination.

Canva is fantastic for creating digital products. Ensure you use free elements or get a subscription with Creative Fabrica. You can download unlimited content for a low annual price and make unique digital content.

If you can’t face the idea of creating your own digital products, consider joining Catalyst Collective. You can resell this fantastic program and make 70% commissions.

The program also teaches you how to create digital products.

Where Do I Sell My Digital Products?

You can sell your newly created digital products in dozens of places online. However, some of them are expensive, such as Thinkify and Thrivecart.

The following platforms are my personal choices:

  • Beacons AI: You can have a 100% free account and list your products for free. You can see an example of my store HERE.
  • Systeme AI: Lifetime free access. You can host one course for free. Under one domain, you can place as many sub-domains for your products as you like.
  • Gumroad: This simple platform is popular with many digital marketers. I have a store here, but I am mostly moving to Beacons AI now as it has better functionality.

Many people use Etsy to sell digital products, but I’m hearing many negative stories of Etsy randomly suspending accounts, even long-standing accounts with positive records.

Is Faceless Marketing Worth It?

Here’s the truth: You can grow a following faster with face-forward content because when people see your face on daily content, it builds the “like, know, trust” element, which is essential for converting watchers to buyers.

Don’t let that fact discourage you from starting a faceless account. The trick is to nail your niche and identify your target audience. After that, outline a customer avatar and create quality content that brings value to your audience, and you will start gaining momentum.

What Are the Benefits of Faceless Marketing?

The biggest benefit of faceless marketing is it enables you to build multiple faceless accounts in different niches without harming your personal brand.

Creating faceless content is faster. You can purchase DFY content, such as the 1500 faceless reels I have put together. Even using the same reels, you can create individualised content.

Another significant benefit is that once your income builds, you can hire virtual assistants to create your content while you hang out with the kids, walk the dogs, or go for coffee.

Is There A Future for Faceless Marketing?

Personal brands are still dominating the market, but there’s an increasing movement towards faceless content. If you value personal privacy, starting a faceless brand is the best way to start and grow your business.

Focus on creating quality content with a valuable message that helps your audience; you could even receive requests to create content for other faceless marketers.faceless

The more you create faceless content, the easier it becomes.

Is It Easy to Create Faceless Content?

It’s not difficult to create faceless content, but there’s a danger of slipping into mediocrity if you’re not vigilant about the creation process.

Your faceless content creation competes with millions of other creators, so you must ask yourself, “What makes my content different?”

I recommend following Created by Wayne, a Canva creator on YouTube. He teaches simple ways to create unique content.

Is Faceless Marketing Worth It?

I think so.

It takes time. You may have a process of adjusting and learning from how your audience responds to your content.

The objective is to build a following eager to see your content, but you’re also navigating the algorithms.

If you want to grasp Instagram algorithm changes, I recommend Catalyst Collective. The founder is an ex-Meta executive, generating $300 million in ad revenue.

I started the Catalyst training program in September 2024. I’m learning Instagram marketing, which has helped me understand engagement strategies and I finally started using IG stories. I now recognise all the mistakes I made with my content and messaging.

If you want to monetise your faceless account with affiliate marketing, start with the end in sight. Curate your content as if your life depends on it, and use SEO religiously on every platform to gain organic traffic for scalability.

Pillar Posts And Content Clusters: The Benefits for SEO?

October 8, 2024

Last Updated on October 8, 2024 by Jan Barley

pillar posts and content clusters

Use Pillar Posts and Content Clusters as a Primary Aspect of Your On-Page SEO Strategy

Pillar posts and content clusters? What are they, and do you need to understand how to use them?

Yes. If you’re new to blogging, you may not be familiar with pillar posts and content clusters, but understanding could make a significant difference to your content ranking.

It’s a proven way of structuring content that helps Google bots understand your content and assess authority.

By the end of this article, you will have a full grasp and understanding of using pillar posts and content clusters to drive on-page SEO.

What Type of Content Does Google Want?

Google wants content that satisfies its users. That content should be informative and authoritative. Not in a strict teachery way but more so by demonstrating your expertise in a subject.

Considering the millions of websites online, how can you demonstrate expertise and rocket your SEO efforts?

Suppose you have a niche website focusing on weird fruits (yes, that does exist). You want Google bots to understand your website is about strange fruits, and you want it to rank for everything about weird fruits, including content like the following:

  • Recipes
  • Different types of fruit
  • Benefits of the fruit
  • Potential risks for individual fruits
  • Countries of origin
  • Anything and everything related to weird fruits

You could go deeper into narrowing your niche and create a content-driven website for weird fruit recipes.

Within the clusters, you can use the types of blog content that Google loves, such as listicles, comparisons, reviews and in-depth content.

What Are Pillar Posts and Content Clusters?

In this section, I will clarify the meaning and purpose of pillar posts and content clusters.

What Is a Pillar Post?

A pillar post is a central hub for related website content to establish topical authority in SEO. It’s a comprehensive article that covers a broad topic in great depth.

It links internally to more specific, related content and is typically longer than regular blog posts. For example, your pillar post could be 4,000 words or more, and your content clusters could be between 1000+ words.

The largest pillar post I wrote for a client was 8,000 words.

I needed to lie in a dark room for a week afterwards. It was exhausting. However, once done, you have a spectacular pillar post.

Another option is to create a course or eBook from your pillar post. Sell it or use it as a lead magnet.

Pillar posts are key in content marketing strategies, helping organise information and improve user navigation.

Should You Create New Pillar Content?

  • Does the topic have good search volume? Great, that’s a positive.
  • Do you have existing content that covers the pillar topic? If so, consider updating the content into a more comprehensive article instead of starting from scratch
  • Do you have existing content that could become content clusters? If so, great. You already have a bank of content to work with.
  • Is the topic something you want to cover in detail? If yes, get started. If not, don’t put yourself through the pain of trying to write about something that makes your soul weep.

What Are Content Clusters?

Content clusters are groups of related content posts that centre around a pillar post and are great for organising website content.

Each post links internally, connecting all the pieces and the pillar posts.

Content Clusters Typically Include:

  • A pillar page (main, broad topic)
  • Multiple subtopic articles
  • Internal links connecting all pieces

Content clusters help search engines understand your site’s structure and expertise in specific subject areas.

Here’s an example:

Head Term: Forex Trading

Pillar Post: The Psychology of Forex Trading

Cluster Examples:

  • Best Time to Trade for Mental Clarity
  • X Steps To Know When To Close A Trade
  • X Things I Stopped Doing That Made Me a Better Forex Trader

You could create an almost limitless number of content clusters for some subjects, and that’s the point. Linking all of these articles together makes a powerful site map.

Create a pillar post

Focus on Choosing Pillar Post Content With the Potential for Multiple Content Clusters

Why Are Pillars And Content Clusters Good For SEO?

In a nutshell, pillars and content clusters are an SEO strategy you must use if you want your content to rank.

This structure improves site navigation and user experience.

It demonstrates to search engines the depth and breadth of a site’s expertise on a particular subject.

This approach shifts the focus from creating isolated, ranking-oriented content to developing a cohesive, topic-based content ecosystem that establishes authority and improves search visibility.

Most people write random individual articles and add a few internal links. However, that’s a weak content strategy, if it can be described as a strategy at all.

Look at the the bigger picture as it will improve your SEO overall.

Quick Summary of The Benefits of a Pillar and Cluster Content Strategy:

  • Improved Content Relevance: Align your blog content with user intent.
  • Better Internal Linking: Pillars and clusters seamlessly make creating a web of internal links between hundreds of posts effortless.
  • Builds Topical Authority: It will help your website gain authority (which increases backlinking potential)
  • It Improves The User Experience: Once someone lands on your site, pillars and clusters can help keep them clicking.
  • Can Help Your Site Navigate Updates: Over the last few years, some sites’ traffic decimation has become an issue in Google updates. The more robust your content is, the less chance of a significant drop in traffic. Be aware that it still happens. Since the August 2024 update, traffic volatility has been a pain in the neck.

How to Create An SEO Content Strategy

The first step is to understand your niche and your audience. Knowing user intent is vital for creating a robust content strategy.

Spend time thoroughly researching before writing a word.

  • What is the niche?
  • Who is your target audience (create your customer avatar)?
  • What problems do your audience have that keep them awake? Try using –
    • Answer the Public
    • Google your keyword, then note the “people also ask” in SERPs
    • When searching for a keyword term, note the drop-down options under the search box
  • How do your products or services help your audience?
  • What are the potential obstacles/objections?
  • Research anything else specific to your target audience.
  • What the general obstacles are to the audienc

Conclusion

You’ll find multiple 4k+ word articles on Google regarding pillar posts and content clusters, but there’s no need to overcomplicate the subject.

Build out each pillar post with as many content clusters as possible and internally link them all.

That’s it in a nutshell.

Have fun, and let me know your results.

9 Best Passive Income Ideas For Digital Marketers 2025

October 2, 2024

Last Updated on December 27, 2024 by Jan Barley

passive income ideas

There are plenty of ways to create passive income if you focus on mastering one idea first

Passive income ideas are the best thinking you can do to influence your earnings without working more hours.

In a rapidly declining economic landscape, we lucky digital marketers have the money-busting skills to create multiple passive income streams.

Savvy entrepreneurs understand that when times are tough, it creates opportunities. By providing solutions for those in need of help, it’s entirely possible to build a passive income empire.

For example, creating and selling digital products, online courses, and affiliate marketing are popular choices for digital marketers who want to escape the life-sucking “exchanging time for money” trap.

Before you get too excited, let’s understand that passive income ideas don’t make it magically happen. There are things you should know about passive income.

You can’t sprinkle unicorn dust and expect money to appear under the mattress.

It takes a lot of initial grunt work to set up a solid foundation with an automated system to create recurring income while you sleep. Still, if you’re prepared to invest the time and effort, the rewards are worth it.

This article is a deep dive into the best passive income ideas for digital marketers.

Why Should You Consider Passive Income Ideas?

I cannot remember a worse economic period in my lifetime. Every time I go out, the things I buy get more expensive. Inflation is ridiculous, and salaries cannot keep pace. For instance, second-hand car prices have rocketed.

Before we sink into a pit of hissing snakes, let’s look at how your digital marketing skills can spring you above this erupting financial volcano.

Passive income is the eighth wonder of the world. You can build a part-time side hustle or really dig in and create a full-time income, working fewer hours than your day job and having more fun.

What Is Passive Income?

You’re lying in bed on a Sunday morning, drooling a little bit, maybe, but feeling pretty good about life and here’s why. You open your emails to see you “earned “a few hundred dollars overnight without you doing a thing.

All your hard work a few months ago is now reaping the rewards. Those passive income ideas you read about on a blog have materialised into existence.

Honestly, my friend, there is nothing better than getting that notification.

Typical examples of passive income are recurring commissions from a subscription service, such as the Systeme marketing platform that pays a whopping 60% for life.

You receive monthly commissions like clockwork, even if you go off on holiday.

The problem is that people think passive income is easy, but it’s not. It takes time to build. Still, digital marketers have the skills and the understanding of how to drive traffic, create content and monetise your offers for passive income.

9 Ways To Create Passive Income

So, let’s get to the meat and potatoes and share my passive income ideas.

#1: Sell Templates

Templates are one of the fastest-growing ways to make passive income online. It could become a million-dollar business if you find a niche you enjoy.

One lady I follow on Threads made $25 in her first month selling Canva templates. Six months later, she averages $14k/month!

So, if you’re a creative bunny ready to make passive income from creating templates, here are some ideas.

Canva templates

Selling templates can be highly profitable

Canva Templates

I have made over 1000 designs on Canva and never considered selling them. Doh! Even with a free Canva account, you can create gorgeous designs, such as

  • E-books
  • Journals
  • Workbooks
  • Habit Trackers
  • How to Guides
  • Content Planners
  • Wellness Trackers
  • Website Templates
  • Pinterest Pin Templates
  • IG Reels & Stories Templates

There are no limitations on what you can create with Canva.

Market via your website, social media, and Pinterest marketing. Sell on Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad (I launched my first two products recently) or add e-commerce functionality to your website.

AI Prompts

If you can create helpful AI prompts, people will buy them.

I recently posted a short AI SEO prompt on LinkedIn with 11,000 views. Four people shared, and the post had many comments appreciating the prompt. Considering I had been off LinkedIn for a year, that was an excellent demonstration of the need for prompts that help people work more efficiently and get positive results.

I find it easy to generate prompts, but many people cannot master generative AI or don’t have the time to play around fine-tuning prompts.

I use Claude AI to help me create blog outlines, assess the competition and more. It saves me a ton of time. Subsequently, I have put together some AI prompts for generating SEO content to sell online.

The beauty of passive income is that you don’t need to charge the earth for your products.

Success Story: One lady I know sold $3 recipes and made $250k in her first six months.

Start selling at a “no-brainer” price. Get positive feedback and either create more products or raise your prices. In addition, make sure you get people onto your mailing list.

Why?

It’s simple. It’s easier to sell your products to a person who’s purchased from you before.

Notion Templates

I’m not a fan of Notion, but many people make a good income from personalised Notion Templates. They’re pre-built pages that people can add to their workspace to organise their content. The following are a few examples.

  • Goal Tracker
  • Habit Tracker
  • Team Knowledge bases
  • Personal Workout Trackers
  • Personal Finance Tracker

Google Sheets Templates

If you’re a whiz with Google Sheets, you can create anything from a simple spreadsheet for budgeting, profit and loss sheets, meal planning, habit tracking, etc. There is considerable scope for the creative mind if you like designing presentation slides, design templates or spreadsheets.

Research what people want to save time and gain efficiency, and then create your Google products.

#2: Create a Course

create an online course

Online courses can create lifelong recurring income if you do it right

Creating an online course can be a dependable cash cow if you have an area of expertise.

What puts most people off is how much time and effort is involved, especially as many prefer video content over text-based courses.

One way to make it easier is to use generative AI like Claude or ChatGPT to create an outline for your course. After that, create bite-sized modules, add quizzes and provide resources like the text version of each module.

If you’re worried about the cost of hosting a course, I got you. Platforms like Kajabi, Skool and Thinkific charge a monthly fee of $99+. However, you can host one digital course free with the Systeme lifetime free plan.

Systeme takes the payment and delivers the course login details. All you have to do is create it.

Systeme doesn’t take a percentage of your sales as other platforms do, like Etsy, Spotify, etc.

The bonus of hosting a course on Systeme is you can automate additional marketing tools like capture pages and email campaigns. These add extra oomph to getting traffic to your course sales page.

Ideas for courses:

  • Photography
  • Email Marketing
  • Pinterest Marketing
  • Success on YouTube
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Creating Canva Templates
  • Building a WordPress Website
  • Paid Advertising (Google, Facebook, Instagram etc)

Write a list of whatever you are most knowledgeable about. After that, reflect on whether you have enough interest in the subject to spend a few weeks or months putting a course together.

#3: Become an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is a one of the best passive income ideas on this list. Sadly, many people get it entirely wrong and never make a bean.

Forget Amazon, where you earn a measly 4% on sales—research affiliate partners in your niche. For instance, TripAdvisor offers affiliates a whopping 50% commission per booking if you are in the travel industry.

If you’re working with clients and want to provide additional marketing services, Systeme pays a 60% lifetime commission on annual or monthly subscriptions.

Forget about the likes of Clickbank because that’s where all novice affiliate marketers head. Think strategically.

  1. Choose a Niche – make it one you are interested in and one that pays well
  2. Decide Which Platform To Use – you might want to start a niche-specific blog or use social media channels. Ideally, choose search engine-based platforms like YouTube and Pinterest
  3. Build Traffic – when applying to merchants, they will ask how you generate traffic. I waited until I had 10,000 monthly impressions on my blog. Alternatively, they are happy to work with social media influencers
  4. Find Affiliate Programs – research each company. I contacted those whose products I use or have used. Check Trustpilot that the company has a good reputation and only apply to those relative to your niche
  5. Produce Good Quality Content, focusing on providing value to your audience. Write or video content like reviews and comparisons
  6. Curate Content – if you write a blog, curate it into social media posts. Create a video format, especially if you have a blog. Google rewards video content highly these days
  7. Build An Audience – you need traffic to get sales, so focus on creating consistent content

Don’t start doing paid advertising until you get traction from organic marketing. It’s a waste of money. Ensure you have a fully functioning sales funnel, such as the following:

  • Capture page
  • Lead magnet
  • Email campaign
  • Upsells and Offers

#4: Build And Monetise A Niche Website

sell website templates

You can sell niche website templates from $100 and often considerably more

I’ll start this section by stating that this isn’t the fastest way to passive income. Still, if you can go hard at it for a year or so, you can rest assured the monetary results will come.

One lady on the Medium platform started a “strange fruits” recipes niche website. People sniggered at her, but she made $100k in the first six months. After that, she began creating these websites to sell to people keen to join the niche.

The more you can narrow down the niche, the better, then you can create your customer avatar.

The downside of this passive income idea is it’s a lot of work. To get ranked in SERPs, you need a lot of content. However, generative AI can do a big chunk of the legwork if you have some great AI prompts.

  • Identify Your Niche – research it thoroughly and check the competition
  • Buy a Domain Name – Choose one that describes your business
  • Build the Website – Consider using WordPress, Squarespace and you can even build a Canva website and connect your domain name
  • Write Content – create pillar posts (an in-depth topic) and generate content clusters (sub-niche content for the pillar post), and then build internal links between the articles
  • Drive Traffic – use SEO on your website, social media marketing, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, guest posts
  • Keep Going – don’t lose heart if you don’t see results for a while. I got my first affiliate commission four and a half months after starting my blog

#5: Write an eBook

Much like creating a course, putting an eBook together can be time-consuming. Still, it’s a fantastic way to demonstrate your expertise.

The eBook doesn’t need to be long. It’s better to consider an eBook series rather than doing a deep dive into a broad subject. For instance, SEO involves a multi-pronged approach, from on-page, off-page and technical SEO. Creating one course that covered all of that would be overwhelming for the reader and to create.

You can hire a ghostwriter if you’re not a good writer and stick pins in your eyes instead. That’s not a cheap option, but it could pay for itself quite quickly with effective marketing.

You can publish your eBook on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Lulu or upload it to Gumroad.

I have one book on Amazon in paperback and kindle versions that has made steady monthly sales for many years.

If it’s relevant, you can add social media handles and affiliate links into the eBook.

How to Write an eBook

  • Research the Market – how much competition is there?
  • Find Low–Difficulty Keywords – that can help the book’s discoverability
  • Create Easily Digestible Chapters – ensure the layout of the chapter content makes sense
  • Write to One Person – a conversational style is the most popular format for readers. Create an avatar and write to that one person, focusing on what they most want to know
  • Have a Simple Layout – make the eBook visually appealing. I’ve bought eBooks that have text squashed together on each page. It’s better to have plenty of white space because people skim content
  • Create a Style Sheet – decide what colours and fonts to use throughout the book
  • Add Images – Make the eBook visually appealing by breaking up the text with colour-themed images, infographics, charts, etc
  • Proofread & Edit – there’s nothing worse than typos and bad grammar in a book. I use Grammarly Premium, but that still needs to be double-checked
  • Create a Sales Page – use Systeme’s free plan to build a simple sales page. Add a thank you page (for subscribing) and a video page, ideally with you talking to personalise the eBook
  • Create an Email Campaign – write an email sequence with at least a dozen emails. Send them out every few days for the first few days and then weekly. Tag the campaign on the sales page

#6: Sell Stock Photos

If you’re a whiz with a camera, why not generate passive income from your shots by selling them online to stock photo platforms like Shutterstock and Pexels?

Most photographers get caught in the time-for-money trap, and even if you earn well as a photographer, without clients, there’s no income coming in.

You might not make a six-figure income from stock photography sales, but it’s quick and easy to upload photographs that could generate revenue for years to come. People will pay for high-quality images.

#7: Start a YouTube Channel

start a youtube channel

The hardest part of starting a YouTube channel is actually starting. I keep putting it off! Don’t be me!

If you’re creating content for a blog, the most powerful move is to curate that content to YouTube.

I’m blushing a bit because it’s something I keep putting off. It’s hard work creating and editing video content. It always takes longer than you expect. Then, technology lets you down, and suddenly, an entire day has passed, creating a 10-minute video.

Still, the potential for YouTube is unrivalled.

  1. It’s a search engine – it can get ranked on page one SERPs
  2. You can add SEO in the description
  3. You can add affiliate, membership, course or sales page links in the description
  4. Once you get enough subscribers and watch time, you can monetise the channel (1000 subscribers + 4k watch hours in the last 12 months)
  5. If your channel becomes successful, you can get sponsorship and brand deals

Starting a YouTube channel is free, but it is a heavy time investment.

#8: Build A Job Board

Building a digital job board might seem a massive undertaking, but you can purchase DFU templates.

It’s not a passive income source that appeals to me because of the initial work required. Still, it can be a lucrative business if you focus on building a job board within a small niche.

To make money from your job board, you have several options:

  • Charge Companies a one-off fee to post job offers
  • Charge companies a monthly fee to post ad hoc job offers
  • Offer premium features
  • Join an ad revenue source like Google AdSense or Mediavine (you’ll need sufficient traffic to get approved)
  • Partner with a recruitment agency for a commission for leads

The tricky part of setting up a digital job board is to get sufficient traffic. Companies won’t spend with you unless they know there’ll be a lot of eyes on their job offers.

You need an enormous bank of job seekers who will visit your job board instead of heading to Indeed, Total Jobs or any big boys online.

Focus on the uniqueness of your specialism. Narrow your niche down as small as possible. The giant job sites are so random and mostly useless for job seekers. Find a gap in the market that will attract employers and job seekers, and then focus on marketing as if your life depended on it.

#9: Buy A DFY Digital Product

Creating products, building a course, and all of the above suggestions miss one vital step. If you’re a beginner, you have no idea how to create an automated sales system that drives traffic to your offer when you aren’t working.

Most people fail (90% quit digital marketing) because they don’t have that system.

Yes, you can build sales pages, email campaigns, etc, but it is time-consuming. I’ve spent days messing around with a simple sales page.

For a beginner, the main criteria for passive income success is the following:

  1. Have a great product
  2. Have an automated system
  3. Learn social media marketing
  4. Work with an experienced mentor
  5. Learn how to drive organic traffic to your offers consistently

That’s why I chose the Catalyst. I was floundering because I didn’t know how social media algorithms work. I didn’t know how to get traffic to my business other than SEO. The latter works for me with my blog, but you should never have only one traffic source.

Please read my review of the Catalyst Collective. I’m giving away a free Instagram Business Growth Guide that teaches you the foundations for getting more followers and sales on Instagram reels and stories.

Conclusion

The hard truth about passive income ideas is they’re easy to think about but not so easy to implement.

Whatever you decide to do, follow your heart and take the path that interests you the most. It’s human nature to have initial excitement about a project but lose interest when results are slow.

Learn from me. I wish I’d started years ago when I had the idea to start affiliate marketing, but I felt overwhelmed by the tutorials I found on YouTube. I’ve since discovered that it isn’t complex, and there is an easy way to make affiliate commissions.

Get started today. Dig in and start building your passive income sources.

FAQs

How Much Passive Income Can I Earn?

That depends on which avenue you choose. Some passive income streams could generate a few hundred dollars; others could create 6-7 figure income.

Try not to focus on too many passive income streams simultaneously. Start by building up one passive income source and then move on to the next.

Do I Need A Lot Of Money To Get Started With Passive Income?

It’s possible to start making passive income with little to no investment. Still, there are typically associated costs, such as website hosting, domain name purchase, graphic design platform subscriptions, etc.

Considering the passive income potential of most of the above ideas, the costs are comparatively small.

What Are The Best Digital Products For Beginners To Sell?

It’s best to focus on what you can do easily. If you don’t enjoy graphic design, Canva templates might not be your best option.

For beginners, it’s often best to start with a DFU product like Inner Bloom (a master resell rights digital product) or the Catalyst Collective, an affiliate product that pays 70% commission.

The benefits of these two courses are that you will learn to master social media marketing, create digital courses, and drive traffic to your offers. For a beginner, it is the ideal route to learning how to make passive income.
